Well for all we know the end of Z still happens, Tarble has only really been in one game, Uub is rarely in the games these days and GT will continue to get small representation in games like always, probably not much more than the SSJ4s and a villain or two.
Well unless Xenoverse 2 brings every character from the first game back.

Fucking hell check those images out, Future Trunks was a fucking monster and Vegetas does not include the billions he killed when purging planets. Goku has his grampa on his list as well, Gohans seems absolutely pathetic but it's better than his fathers.
In terms of enemies, who has the biggest kill count besides Vegeta? Kid Buu started blowing up planets for fun so he's got to be up there, Freiza as well but Cell was a useless lil bitch.

Wishful thinking for how Piccolo could become relevant again:
- They head to the other universe to find the Super Dragon Balls
- The Super Dragon Balls were made by Super Namekians (sounds plausible enough)
- They meet the Super Grand Elder who made the Super Dragon Balls
- The bad guy gets all the Super Dragon Balls first
- He's about to make a Super Wish for something really bad
- Super Grand Elder says the only way to stop the bad guy's wish is to make the Super Dragon Balls disappear
- Super Grand Elder asks Piccolo to absorb him so there will be no more Super Dragon Balls
- Piccolo gets Strong As Fuck
- They head to the other universe to find the Super Dragon Balls

Earth WAS destroyed, and after it was wished back, Shibito could have just teleported Gohan there for him to destroy Buu.
In no way was Goku needed at the end, it was just Vegeta's idea to implicate the whole galaxy instead of one of their gang to save the day.
Which is exactly why Goku didn't save the day. The galaxy did. That was the whole point. Otherwise Gohan could have done it.

I should also be noted that nothing really gets Z numbers anymore, One Piece is the biggest Shonen in Japan right now and it usually hovers around 8 to 9.
Then there is the fact that Toei did VERY little to even advertise the series, so it's debut is actually really impressive.

I think he means kiddie as in something specifically for small children, Dragon ball is for kids but has a broad appeal due to the action and stories.
Then again the timeslot doesn't really matter because it's the same slot Kai had and it's right before One Piece, which has been airing then for a long time.

I am actually quite curious to see next week's numbers. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of fans only found out the show was airing after it aired after their friends went to discuss the show with them lol. (like they new it was coming but didn't realize it was coming so quickly)

I think the most interesting thing is what the numbers will look like once we get knee deep in some action. I also wouldn't be surprised if the ratings go kinda low until they jump to Universe 6, simply because some people will likely just be waiting for that, no lower than Kai or anything, but under 8.
well they will be interesting for a while.
next week will they stay strong or get even stronger?
the week after that will they stay steady?
when they start battle of the gods, will we see rise or lower in it, we will hit action but it will be action already done in a movie.
same with the next movie how will it effect ratings.
when we hit universe 6 stuff will we see a big change in numbers.
finally is it possible for db super to regularly overtake one piece and once again become the king of the pira.... er king of the shonen anime.
