The M is clearly no longer on his forehead. But all that is besides the point. He is drawn as SS2. The artwork is conclusive.
I meant the Majin spell permanently powered him up.

Bigger muscles and spikier hair was also part of the thing, wasn't it?
Don't look at forms as "SS2, and that's it" when it comes to power. The show itself demonstrated clearly there being levels to each form. Degrees. Goku is in SS1 form fighting both Frieza and Cell, but clearly one version of the form is more powerful than the other.
Wait I dont get it, was this supposed to be Vegeta's initial ssj2 transformation? That makes no sense if this is a continuation of the manga considering Vegeta willingly went from SSJ1 to SSJ2 after receiving Babadi's magic, from just that alone its heavily implied he already had the transformation.
They're both the same SSJ1; the difference is that Goku himself is stronger. It's not like there are caps to each transformation. Every SSJ is just a power multiplier for the form that preceded it.
Shit's about to go down!
.....and there it goes.
How awesome would it be it they change the story to the point Vegeta is the one to get the god powers and fight Beerus? Not gonna happen, I know =/.
Maybe he is? I can't picture him with that hairstyle or being without eyebrows though lol.Vegeta should've been SSJ2 from the get-go but they saved it for the end to create a dramatic moment. We all know he still doesn't stand a chance against Beerus.
It kind of bothers me he still isn't SSJ3. I don't see much reason for it anymore. He should be at that level already.
I was under the impression he had to stay evil to retain the bulk of that?I meant the Majin spell permanently powered him up.
Just a more powerful version of SS2, I suppose.
That's certainly possible. I was just pointing out that he did in fact become SSJ2 after he lost the Majin spell. I doubt he didn't manage to achieve it in those seven years though. He was never that far behind Goku.I meant the Majin spell permanently powered him up.
What we saw at the end of episode 7 is probably Vegeta's highest level, yet he didn't reach SSJ3.Maybe he is? I can't picture him with that hairstyle or being without eyebrows though lol.
Bigger muscles wasn't part of that, and spikier hair was very inconsistent. Gohan had spikier hair against Cell, obviously, but during the tournament in the Buu Saga his hair style in both forms was identical. Vegeta's was identical too (don't compare with Vegeta's SSJ hair style from the training arc, compare Majin Vegeta's hair style before and after going SSJ2). Goku seemed to be the only one in the Buu Saga that consistently had spikier hair and less bangs after going SSJ2.
I AM MY FATHER'S SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!!!!!
Edit: one more pearl:
''Actually, Bojack, there is one word that comes to mind''. Proceeds by not saying a word.
One of the worst movies ever, sorry.
Wrong, he said kamehameha after that, and thats what he also meant with the one word that comes to mind.
Krillin: Why don't YOU go fight Beerus!?
I like how at this point it's just accepted that Yamcha's down with Chaotzu instead of up there with Tien and Krillin.
If only this was filler Yamucha, the hero the series needs
Just watched ep7, this show is fucking horrible. Terrible art, terrible production, underwhelming nonsensical story and terrible attention to detail like 18 having a hard time breathing? Hello? She has an infinite power supply!, or people asking Krillin to fight after 5 people stronger than him have gotten their asses kicked.
This should get cancelled ASAP.

Are you sure you weren't watching OG DBZ?
I wanted to take this post seriously but lol I just can't.
Right. Everyone who likes the show is wrong, not the one wanting the show cancelled for petty reasons lolWell if you think its a good show then congrats on having ridiculously low standards.
Im re-reading the manga...
...and its one of the best of all time. Fantastic choreography, very strong art, stories that had a sense of urgency to them, even characters that had motivations other than "I want pudding"
Well if you think its a good show then congrats on having ridiculously low standards.
Marron is doomed.
Yamcha's a magnet for punishment. She'll be fine.

I hope you see where this is going.
Well of course. You won't see filler, animation errors, and the what not from a manga.
Seriously, DBZ was filled with terrible animation, nonsensical plots and all the rest, too. nothing has changed.
I rewatched it 3 times to get it, you can barely hear him say ''Kamehame'', only the HAAA part. Extremely poorly handled.
Many things have.
The story is not an adaptation of an incredibly popular manga anymore, its of a movie that aside from a high budget fight scene, didn't have much going for it. The source material is not strong, at all.
Overall quality of the original show was much higher overall because the IP was at the height of its popularity, had really strong source material and managed to stay at an abobe industry standard in terms of animation quality, at least through the first 100 episodes (Saiyan and Freeza sagas)
A plot of "A group of Earth warriors travel to Namek to revive their friends, not knowing that the most feared tyrant in the galaxy is also in that planet, eventually causing the destruction of said planet and a transformation into a Super Saiyan" is incredibly more interesting than "during a characters birthday party, the God of Destruction shows up and is intent on destroying Earth because he is bored and/or didnt get any pudding"
The original anime followed the 90's trend of stretching episodes out so that it would give the manga time to stay ahead of the anime. This caused many of the things fans hate about Dragon Ball today such as the extremely long powering up sequences.
Fantastic episode.
I wonder how many seconds Vegeta will last in the next episode.
Having a manga to work off of has nothing to do with that. And Dragon Ball is still incredibly popular. The numerous games, and highly successful limited release of a DRAGON BALL MOVIE in theaters are evidence of that. The train never stopped.
Sounds like the Frieza Saga if you replace pudding with Dragon Balls. Sounds like the Buu Saga. He was a giant pink baby.
Not to disagree with any of your opinions but, factually speaking, that 'stretching' isn't a 90's trend. It's been part of anime since the late 60's.
Not that this invalidates your points.
This would have been a great opportunity to have Vegeta go SSJ3. At this point I don't think it will ever happen.
Posts made by you are blue so that you can see them easier when you scroll through a page. Also, any time someone quotes you it will be a shade of green.
But it makes sense for one of the strongest fighters to save his energy and protect everyone in case something happens
It's expanding on BoG, adding some stuff and changing some stuff and BoG and F are only the first two story arcs, after that it's going to be completely original. Besides, I prefer the way the story is playing out in Super compared to BoG, for instance Beerus is way more menacing.Just watched one episode of Super. Why you guys watch this when it's just Battle of Gods with bad animations? Thought it's something new.
Episode 7. Nothing fucking happens.
Maybe Dragon Ball Z was also this bad, but I don't recall it being so lacking in events in an episode. Perhaps seeing Battle of Gods and knowing what to expect also plays into it.
