Awesome. I stopped watching Super after Episode 3. Was enjoying it but Dragon Ball is one of those rare anime that I vastly prefer the English version.

Honestly, same here, and it's mostly because I just cant stand Goku's JP voice.

It's not even pure blue, it's like some kind of greenish cyan. When I was a kid I used to draw DBZ fanart all the time but if I were a kid now I wouldn't have the right coloring pen for that particular hair color.

One surprising thing reading the manga was finding out that almost every Chichi appearance in DBZ is filler. Her first appearance as a mother is after the Vegeta fight is over.

After the Vegeta fights Goku vs Cell and Android 17 vs Piccolo are my next favorites in terms of animation.

Goddamn Goku vs Cell was so good. I wish they didn't turn the end of the Cell Saga into an attempt to get Gohan over. Goku vs Cell had GOAT potential.

I think Toei wants the west to get only the stuffs after the movie arcs. I don't think the fans in the West will want any of those movie retellings.

The only reason AT made them gold was to save time from inking in their hair all the time, it literally could've been any light color.

Goku vs. Vegeta 1
Future Trunks vs. Mecha Frieza (The first episode, the second is pretty bad, lol)
Goku vs. Cell (Cell Games)
Gohan SS2 vs Cell Jrs
Goku vs. Vegeta 2
Goku SS3 vs. Fat Buu
Guku vs. Kid Buu

Those fights had movie quality or better, which is unreal for a Toei show. I know Toriyama is too tired to do a full length manga these days, but they should pay him enough to provide some storyboards for the key fights in Super. Even with subpar drawings, that could greatly improve the action scenes.

It had its good parts and its boring parts. Gohan swiping the senzu beans and beating all the Cell Jrs was good, and I like when Gohan hits Cell so hard that he tries and fails multiple times to stand back up.

....I just went to watch the Goku vs Majin Vegeta fight on Youtube and I did not think it was good at all... Granted, I didn't watch the whole thing because I was disappointed by how weak and underwhelming it started off being.

The build up to it was sooo good with the falconer msuic and everything. The tension and suspense was there. I was surprised at how bad the actual fight was. I guess there's a reason I went to go look that up just to recall how the fight went. I can remember many of the others decently at least.

It also makes me realize how much I like the DBZ artstyle over super's. They looked so much more fierce back then. (I still think super's artstyle is good and better than early DBZ art though)

I actually love how Vegeta is skipping SSJ3. It's a form Goku achieved in death as a spirit. It's unnatural and when used as a living being is not nearly as effective or long lasting as SSJ/SSJ2. Vegeta has surpassed SSJ3 in a more efficient form now.

Makes me wonder about SSJ3 and what else can these magic beans called Saiyans do. What other random forms can these guys achieve through abnormal circumstances (within actual canon of course).

Yeah, I don't think Goku vs Majin Vegeta is that great a fight in the anime. It's mostly filler like you say, and it's far too drawn out. I read the fight the other week, and it really lasts no time in the manga. At least the awesome build up translated great. I love all that stuff.
