Sorry, peeps, I want a bit more info than the OP: did they mention how both versions relate? Like, is it two stories, or the same story presented differently?
Same story, different mechanics. Like Ni No Kuni.

Both will have the same story.Sorry, peeps, I want a bit more info than the OP: did they mention how both versions relate? Like, is it two stories, or the same story presented differently?
Shocked it's coming for NX too. Maybe Nintendo might be more open to helping the versions on their platforms get localized this way? Or maybe I just want that 2D/3D mix version too much...
So i never played a Dragon quest game what should i expect from the PS4 version? Will i understand whats going on? is it real time or turnbased? puzzles? crafting?deep lore? rich world? wtf is dragon quest?
I mean the only thing I've heard for sure is that it apparently runs Android?
I don't think ANYONE was expecting an NX bomb right at the very end. The first official NX games announced...by a third party publisher...with no one from Nintendo in sight.
Madness.
So what role does Level 5 play in all this? If any?
I'm wondering if the 3DS two screens thing is just meant to be a cute nostalgia thing or if it's actually meant to appease different types of players. I remember that there were complaints about random battles being gone with Dragon Quest IX, but I'm not sure if that was a serious thing or if it was just Internet trolling. Notably, monsters appear in 3D and don't appear in 2D, so if you only look at the bottom screen you won't know where the enemies are. A rough approximation of random battles.
Okay, they did say both DQ10 and DQ11 for NX.

I'm more curious if we can turn one screen off. It seems like it would be distracting after a while to see both constantly running at the same time. It'd be great if it supported on the fly switching.

I'm still convinced it's gonna be a handheld hybrid (with HDMI capabilities or something)Do we even know if the NX is a console or handheld at this point?

That bottom screen 2D thing was amazing.

Wii U doesn't support UE4.
Does anyone know if DQ8 is rumored to be ported to 3ds or remade soon? my brother has the ps2 version and i wouldnt mind playing on my BC PS3

stupid question, maybe: will DQXI be the PS4 UE4 version?
Wait, what exactly was the wording on that NX announcement? Have they said anything about the timeframe or version? Meaning: Will it be a late port or could it even come out simultaneously?
That's out of nowhere and totally unprecedented for a DQ mainline title, right? Awesome news for Nintendo regarding Japanese support from the get go! Doesn't get much bigger for that and should be an incentive for many/smaller devs to get on board fast.
Thanks. My Japanese sucks. ((Okay, they did say both DQ10 and DQ11 for NX.

This thread is NOT NX speculation thread #25390325. Please ensure that it remains that way.
Monster Hunter jump was the same I want to say.
