I can't seem to keep a locked 60fps on a 860m. Even on low. Bummer, I do most of my gaming on my notebook. dips into the 30s.
No, not at all. Maybe you can make an argument for AK, but the other two are far superior in any possible metric.Thing is, is DQ Heroes a better PC port than Fallout 4, Just Cause 3 or Arkham Knight?
Because K-T....Why the hell did people assume the PC version would be modeled after the PS3 version and not PS4?
Ugh, seriously? That's my GPU, and this does not look like a game it should have any trouble running on max or near-max settings.

I guess I'll be buying this to show my support. I have no idea what the fuck Dragon Quest is, but I like musou.
Complex games initially have bugs on some systems. Woohoo. That's extremely hard to prevent.Seems legit...

Locking the resolution once again on your Nth PC port speaks to a degree of carelessness, and, frankly, wilful ignorance that's completely incomparable. It's also exceedingly simple to fix -- very much unlike trying to release a complex game without any bugs on any arbitrary configuration, which is an intractable problem.
You just need to actually want to fix it.
Locking the resolution is really stupid. I don't even know why they don't seem to get the memo. It's like I wonder what's the point of having KT USA or Europe if they don't pass the word.
I think the people who make these ports have probably heard of peoples desires for arbitrary resolutions.
They just don't care.
What you really want to look for are issues not present on consoles. AK was such a shit port because it'd run worse than it did on consoles far as I recall, and still requires a disproportionately more powerful PC to run well. That is certainly not the case with Fallout 4, and that can be a buggy abomination on any platform.![]()

I know you don't like resolution locks. At least it uses PS4 assets and has controller prompts. K-T is learning, bit by bit. Also, better port than both FFXIII and Type-0, looking at people's reaction.

Which was also present in the console versions of SOTF, wasn't it? It isn't just a PC issue in that case.
I got an i5 and the game runs at 60fps with the settings high. Wonder why the minimum specs require an i7, then again I'm pretty new to all this PC stuff so maybe I just don't get it.
IIRC it's a first generation i7, therefore being not as powerful as newer CPUs.
Aaah, okay. I haven't purchased any PC ports from Koei Tecmo before but this one seems pretty good! Should SE and KT ever bring Dissidia Arcade for PC, this gives me a lot more faith for their future ports.

It says i7 2600, so second gen.
I guess with DX11, there won't be any SGSSAA solution huh? And with the resolution locked at 1080p atm, DSR/VSR is out of the question as well. So the only option is FXAA or SMAA it seems. Bummer.
How to enable anti-aliasing?
Please?
Anyone?
Only FXAA and SMAA atm. You can enable fxaa from nvidia control panel or use smaa injector/sweetfx/reshade (pick DX 10/11)
OK cool I will try this thanks.
I tried using Dynasty Warriors 8 anti-aliasing compat (Set Antialiasing compatibility to 0x004412C1 - Diablo III)
Didn't work though.

Because DQ:H is a DX11 game. IIRC AA compatibility doesn't work with DX11 games.

And people thought this would be the PS3 port. We're actually serious about that. Still makes me laugh.
Technically it does if you have GSync enabled.Since we can't disable V-Sync, I suppose G-Sync doesn't work with that game?
You must be new to Koei PC game bro.
Game crashes at start up. Not surprised. Guess I will run this game in windowed mode.
how the port ? i heard many people can't get 60 FPS from it.
Because the issues aren't even in the same galaxy of complexity in terms of the effort required to eliminate them, and because K-T has so far shown an utter unwillingness to improve on such a simple omission despite that.If we can accept waiting for fixes for FO4 or JC3, why not apply the same for this game?
Here it is if anyone wants to fiddle diddle with it. It's using the HSV shader from Custom FX. I also have some SMAA that I tweaked to not muck with the UI too much, but it's not in the screenshot for some reason.
I'm running Windows 8.1 and have an Nvidia card. Oddly, putting the game in Windows 7 mode consistently causes it to crash when it tries to load the gameplay engine after the intro. Running without compatibility mode at a lower graphical resolution has allowed me to play the game (my system's a bit underpowered).
Mind posting your PC specs please?
