i think nier gestalt(ps3 I think?) sold better than neir Replicant(ps3/xbox360 game we got) and i think it sold around a good 500k? i'd have to get numbers but i believe it was around that.
Gestalt was the one we got. Also you're way off on the numbers. Replicant (PS3 version) sold 134k. Gestalt (360 version) sold 21k. This is based off of Garaph.
I'm actually not a big fan of this music. It's good, but I vastly prefer the weird industrial cacophony of Drakengard 1. I consider that to be one of gaming's best ost's.
i was just going off some site unless this site is wrong i'm sorry about the wrong numbers.
site seems to be banned or something but the gestalt sales i found were at 0.52 mil around the world.

This Silence Is Mine gives me chills. Can't wait to play, even if I have to go through shitty Digital River to get a physical copy. Kinda wish it at least came with bonus artbook or something.
It is amazing this game exists and with the staff behind it for several reasons.....
-Squares huge shift of focus to mobage
-Saying they will only focus on AAA console titles in Japan (KH and FF)
-The ton of supposed games they cancelled due to FFXIV and financial woes and this didn't get canned
-NieR didn't exactly light any charts on far
On top of all that it gets localized!
I'm really glad they recognized the quality of the development staff and sound team enough to give them another project after NieR and on console.
Since all of this is true, it really IS a miracle this game is getting localized. I remember when the game was originally announced for Japan everyone was hoping we would see a localization but deep down we knew the chances were very very slim.

Me! Although that doesn't mean that I am not excited for the game as well. Staying in Japan until February, so I'll definitely buy a copy of the OST on release date
Anyone else pre-ordered the 10th Anniversary Box? Pretty expensive but oh so worth it. I'm going to pay for it today. I can't wait to get this next week.
US is only getting phisical if people preorder of the SE store, otherwise its only digital, people also already asked for retail release and SE guys seemed to be listening, now if that amounts to anything we'll just have to wait and see, personally, i'm hoping the asian version has english subtitles, but i'm not getting my hopes up

I spent so much money getting the the two separate volumes of the Drakengard 1's soundtrack. Sano is as crazy as his music. And his music is crazy good.
I like Nier music, but hearing it in Drakengard makes me wax nostalgic.
Hopefully it will have Japanese audio DLC or just be dual audio on the disc itself. I remember they said they were looking into it but never said anything one way or the other whether it would be dub only or not.
In an interview the director wanted to add English voice/text when the game comes out. Play Asia wouldn't know at the moment but hopefully it does or they put DLC just like Lighting Returns. I'll pay $5 if I have to.
I caved and pre-ordered from the SE NA store. Got it express (mainly so I can track it), and according to their site it'll be in the new year. Hopefully it won't be the same time as DS2. Can't wait to play this!
Its evident that the flower is a white moonflower, aka a Lunar Tear, which is a very clear nod to Kaine in Nier. Any link between the games is I suspect going to be specifically to do with her origins as the overall "world" of Nier is fairly comprehensively bound to Drakangard's final ending.
The big question is where of course if we assume the curse of the dragonsphere was brought to our (Nier's) world by Caim and Angelus, what other character got sucked through the dimensional gateway in order to create Kaine... Queen of the Grotesqueries perhaps?

THAT FLUID GAME PLAY! Is this 60 fps? Because it certainly looks like it could be.
Oh my god, I cannot wait for the US release. I however, am mostly looking forward to the typical "spend forever getting all weapons to unlock ending D and then after you get your ending you'll sit there wondering for 8 weeks if it was all worth it or not" shtick from former Cavia devs.
