E3 2006's comin up, what are you hyped about?

It's a cross between Zelda and Revolution. Im Soooooo ready to get my hands on Zelda...... But I know the next Zelda on Revolution will be awesome. It's so confusing yet so good :D

Its really going to be overwhelming if things go as planned.

Revolution Software (no doubt behind the curtains like they did with the DS and Zelda, can't imagine the line for this one)
PS3 software (don't know much about it except for MGS4)
Xbox 360 Gen2 games (Too Human, Mass Effect, Gears of War, a very strong lineup)
Nintendo DS (New Super Mario Bros. Zelda DS, and more, should be entertaining)
PC (Nothing concrete yet, but there may be some suprises)

Anyway, I'm gonna need like a segway to get around the convention center quickly enough so I can get to see everything.
 
I'll decide what excites me about E3 when Oblivion is finally released and I can start anticipating everything else.
 
Maybe Sega will start hyping English version of Ryuga Gotoku, though this is just a guess.

There will definitely be some cool shit this year, and actually getting places on the floor without all the pussy/timewasters will be refreshing.
 
I can't wait to see Nintendo wipe the slate clean with their true 3D controller. It will be THE talk of the show...

... plus hopefully with the organizers cleaning up the bikini clad booth babes we'll see some classy attired babes replacing the cheap skanks wallowing on the floor (though I'd rather see the classy babes in bikinis).

IGN had put up a podcast dealing with the Rev about 2 weeks ago. During the podcast, Matt C. said that he was so disappointed with the lack of HD support. He was talking about this with someone very close to Retro Studios, and he was told that the lack of HD support in Rev isn't going to be a big issue, because "wait until you see what Retro's doing with MP3!"

That's the gist of it.

Retro knows what they are doing.

But no matter how good the game becomes (I have very high hopes). I will always wonder how much better it would be in HD. It just bums me out:( I plan on getting a HDTV soon too.

If anyone can get awesome visual off the Revolution its Retro.

HD does'nt bother Me so much as I dont have a HDTV and wont for a while however I do at least hope the games are in 16:9 playing Cube and Xbox recently with 4:3 games blows chunks.

Resident Evil 5 playable

Street Fighter 4 (2D!)...or at least a Capcom CPS3 collection (WarZard and Second Impact FTW) 720p enhanced please so they don't look like shit on my TV.
 
I'd like to see if anyone will ask Capcom reps about the horrible absence of Phoenix Wright.

Plus, its all nintendo this year for me, good suprises would be nice, I suppose...

Matt and Mark also say in that podcast that the games are 480p and support 16:9.

And yeah, HD doesn't bother me either. I just got a new 32" Sony SDTV because I can't drop the $$$ for a nice HD.

If I get a new PC, I'll get a monitor that I can hook up my PS3/X360 to, and I'll use the SDTV for the Rev.

dammit spike I had to listen to half of the ign podcast to get to that quote and IT DOES NOT SOUND AS AWESOME AS YOU MADE IT SEEM SO. BOO. :'(

Still don't understand this. One day, by your own admission, you'll be getting an HDTV. So when you finally do, don't you want to pop your Revolution games in HD resolution? This is why, settling for less makes no sense. No matter whether you're adopting next month or in ten years, eventually you'll have an HDTV. And you'll still have a Revolution that can't do HD worth a shit.
 
I remember other GAFFERS that went with me to E3 warning me against the Dirty Dogs.

If half of what I heard about them damn dogs is true, I would suggest against consumption.

And, guess what? I was just playing Pikmin 2! Still fun. Shocking I know.
Oh, wait, I've also been playing Final F antasy Tactics... I must say, still stands as one of the best games ever.

Who's saying it'll make games less fun? It will make games look better though which is the point. There's a very obvious different between playing a game on a regular TV and an HDTV whena game is made to be played in a higher defintion. People just want it now, much like they want online play.
 
On the DS: Pokémon Diamond/Pearl, Zelda DS, Metroid Dread, New SMB, Dragon Quest Monsters: Slime Knights, Kaito Wario

On the GCN: Kirby

On the Revolution: SSB Revo, SM128, Zelda DS, AC Revo,

On the GBA: Mother 1 + 2 and Mother 3 for the US FTW

On the PS2: Katamari sequel plz

Overall: DS FTW

I can't wait to see what Nintendo has up their sleeve. Although I didn't like MP2 that much, MP3 is by far my most anticipated Revolution game. In fact, it's my second most anticipated next gen game (behind RE5). There is no doubt in my mind that it will be the best looking Revolution game (graphically) at E3.

I also can't wait to see how Nintendo plans on using the controller for SSBM. Right now I'm very skeptical.

There is no doubt in my mind that Sony is blow everyone away at E3. MGS4 is the best looking next gen game period, and I think Sony has even more stuff ready to show. I can't wait to hear more about Lair and I-8.

-DS

Wow...Zelda DS, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, FFIII, FF:CC, Children of Mana, New Super Mario Bros...and Nintendo will no doubt have many more gems ready to reveal. I want to see more games that support Nintendo WFC, and see how they've evolved since Mario Kart. I also want to see if third parties plan on supporting it more.

-Xbox 360

Gears of War, Too Human, Mass Effect, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddessy, RE5, Splinter Cell Double Agent, Fable 2, etc etc. MS is not going to be forgotten come E3, as some seem to think.

There's a CG trailer of it and UBI has people going around to message boards (specifically IGN) saying that it'll be the GOTY easily.
 
I'm hyped about everything.

Two companies that have barely shown any next generation stuff at all and the other one has something to prove.

Best E3 ever? Probably.
 
E3's coming up? We just about half-way through February with about four months to go or so. Little premature for this thread, I say, though i'd imagine another few dozen will pop up as we really get close.

Ohh, yeah- PS3 w/ playable demo's for me! :D
