They picked a good release date, it’s gotten all the spotlight, but clearly it just wasn’t ready.

They were probably trying to get the game out before the first half of the year and when they made the delay announcement to April 2023, May or June didn’t look too attractive at the time.

May - Zelda, Redfall, Suicide Squad
June - Diablo 4, Street Fighter 6, FFXVI

Zelda comes next month, but releases like Suicide Squad (delayed) and Redfall don’t look to be panning out well. The end of May could’ve been a better target knowing what we know now.
