It's been mentioned many times, but the music was taken from the Miller's Crossing soundtrack (a 90s Coen Brothers film). It is place holder music all the way.Garcia said:You kidding? The trailer song is absolutely beautiful. Brings back childhood memories which is the purpose of the game: To feel attached to something, in this case a giant pet.

won't sell systems. Hopefully will sell to every system out though.Shurs said:Can we just establish, for the record that no one here expects this game to be a massive system seller? Obviously we expect the game will be awesome, and it has potential to be one of the best of the generation. I'd hate for it to be used by the Xbots as ammo in their "Wait for..." meme. And we can point back to this thread as the one where people took the position that the game wouldn't "save" the PS3. Not that it needs saving.

Amen, took every word out of my mouth. I would state the same if a game like this came to any platform. I've said my piece yesterday but this kind of game just doesn't come along too long. It's an Ueda game, there is no other like him really.sprsk said:I really wish that system wars would be left out of any discussion concerning this game. But someone mentioned that, that piece of music from Miller's Crossing is taken from somewhere in the 70's. So Project TRICO could use the music, as Miller's Crossing did it back in the 90's. No?lochnesssnowman said:I watched that Miller's Crossing movie quite recently, on my pals stag do. We were all a bit mashed, but I remember that music - it suits the video perfectly. All I remember about the movie itself is Gabriel Byrne getting his face kicked in *constantly*.
Issun23 said:There should be a newer trailer too. Hopefully Sony will show that at E3.

I'm hoping for E3, but I don't think they'll show it (behind closed doors maybe).
will probably sell a system to me at leastBrobzoid said:won't sell systems. Hopefully will sell to every system out though.

But why can't Team ICO use that music for Project TRICO, as they did for Miller's Crossing in the 90's. Afterall the music is from the 70's?adg1034 said:The music in the trailer is taken straight from the Coen Brothers' movie Miller's Crossing. We'll have to see if they decide to go for Ko Otani again for the actual score.

i got watery-eyed because the music made me remember the miller's crossing and i cried a quite a bit with that movie :lolGarcia said:You kidding? The trailer song is absolutely beautiful. if it's a traditional folk tune then they could easily do their own version of it. if it originated in the 70s it gets more complicated with licensing and such, but if one thing's for sure it's that the song you heard in the trailer, being the miller's crossing version, will not be in the game.Anastacio said:But someone mentioned that, that piece of music from Miller's Crossing is taken from somewhere in the 70's. BrodiemanTTR said:I have faith in Ueda's team to produce something more compelling and better looking than whatever that ugly mess was.
Ether_Snake said::lol "art style", it has fuck all to do with style. You could have the same style but properly modeled and textured. This looks awful, and the whole thing is highly inconsistent quality-wise. The head of the griffin is very realistic, the body's feathers look awful, the kid looks like a PS1 cartoon character, the environment textures have like 1 color and awful normal maps.
I'm thinking it IS just test footage, something that like Udea and two or three other guys did, but I really hope that they will take things seriously and try to surpass themselves graphics-wise in the end, and hire people who can do better if necessary. There's no reason why Trico shouldn't look as good or better than the competition after what they managed to do with SotC on PS2.
