[EU] New July PSN sales - Alienation, SOMA, Shadow of the Beast and More (160+ items)

Thank you kindly for the offer, but I already have a digital copy (bought for £25 back in February, I think), so I don't really need another.

Whereabouts in Essex are you? My in-laws live near Southend. I'm down in Kent but we're at their place every month or so.

Not a problem

I'm in Basildon, I was in Southend the other weekend enjoying the weather which is always good once the sun comes out.

Nest, seems like a great time to snatch Journey and The Banner Saga for just €17.

Anyone who hasn't played child of light should consider this sale, as it's a steal at €7.

Edit: Child of Light is €8. Still a steal, though.

Oxenfree is incredible, definitely recommend it for those looking for a story heavy game with great art direction, music, and character writing.

Looks like this is swapping out games for that "Totally digital" sale. Not going to bother creating a new thread for this, I'll just update the OP, unless someone can be bothered creating a new thread for this.

I'll update the OP regardless once psblog posts the updated list.

Tempted to grab Oxenfree at that price. Does the PS4 version have the new game+ mode?

Yeah might get this too, I notice the game + Dynamic Theme is only a few pence more. Might also pick up Brothers, always fancied giving it a try..

Have to say the last few weeks the sales on PS store have been great, SOMA for £6 is the highlight for me. Also offering 20% off digital pre-orders is not helping my wallet.

I have a Brazilian PSN account (with Plus membership) on my PS4, which I use to play all my games. I also have a US account from my old PS3 times, it is also assigned as a 'master' account on my PS4. Is it possible for me to create another account and have it as master and be able to play its games on the user attached to the BR account? Or I can only have 2 master accounts per console?

Usually the BR PSN has the best prices for some things (12 month goes for 30 dollars), the US usually have better discounts than those on the BR, but sometimes it is cheaper in EU (spain), so I'd like to have an account in here too (I live in Spain now).

You can have pratically unlimited accounts on your PS4 and all use them like this.

An account has a primary PS4, not the other way around, and I don't think there's a limit for a console.

I have a German, US, JP and HK account and use them all on one PS4.

Another that was interested in Lumo and will jump in... Vita version run fine?

Few other positive comments about a few other games in here, this will be an expensive shop!

Some great new additions there.

Another recommendation here for Oxenfree. The game is fantastic if you like story/dialogue heavy adventure games with a horror twist. I had a great time with it and I'm currently on my 3rd play-through.

I'm liking the look of Lumo and can't really say no at a fiver.

Also it pretty much goes without saying, but Axiom Verge is a steal at that price.

I think I'll buy Day of the Tentacle again on PS4 (own it on iOS), to support the developer. I want more of these!

Oxenfree eh? I'll look into some videos, never heard of it before.

I was *thisclose* to getting Oxenfree yesterday. This must be a sign.

Haha, same! So pleased I waited. Just picked it up with the theme (brill) and avatars (eh) and could not be more excited to get home and start this with my girlfriend.

Couldn't say no to Brothers at that price. I got it on PS plus a few years back for the PS3 and it turned out to be one of the best games I have played in years. No other game has felt so much like a fairytale.

I think it's every bit as good as Journey and Ico.

Oxenfree and Unravel are sooooo tempting at those prices, but I must relent. I've already got SFV, Furi and Day of the Tentacle to put time into now, I don't need more games to add to the list.

Thanks.
This or Grim Fandango?

I haven't played DotT, so I can't say which one is better, but Grim Fandango is a masterpiece that should be played by everyone.

Picked up Axiom Verge after having had my eye on it for a while. Really solid so far!

Are SOMA and Layers of Fears worth at that price?
I miss a good horror game...

Playing through SOMA now and it is most definitely worth it. I usually never play (1st person) horror games and I'm really enjoying the dank sci-fi atmosphere and existential plot.

SOMA is an incredible game. At that price you'd be mad to miss it. My GOTY for 2015.

I quite enjoyed my time with Layers Of Fear and plan on buying the DLC this weekend. It starts of quite strong and the jump scares are very effective but it overstays its welcome by the end. True horror is about the mystery, building tension and subtlety. LoF is kinda just in your face the entire time. By the end the scares are so often you lose any sense of fear, ironic really given the title.

Hmm, don't see Life Is Strange on that Totally Digital Sales 2 list. It's 50% off on SEA PSN, though. I highly recommend everyone in this thread to try it out if you haven't already.

I would snap a couple of them up but for some reason PSN has decided to block me from buying anything .... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What's SEA PSN?
Not on sale on either Swedish PSN or US PSN.

I think LoF is worth a punt too, for people who like that sort of game. It's pretty much a walking simulator, but does a lot of interesting stuff, has a great atmosphere, and even a few decent puzzles. It does a lot of clever camera tricks when you move, reminded me of PT. I agree it does lay the jumps scares on pretty thick.

The writing is disappointing though. It's all sounds too modern. The letters you find talk about social workers and stuff, and have lots of swearing. Which rather breaks the Victorian atmosphere.

I wish they changed the titles in the Summer sale the way they've changed the totally digital titles.

Anyway what do people think Bastion or Transistor?

I've watched gameplay videos on youtube and Bastion looks "better", well more fun.

There's a good chance there will be a small summer sale update next week, which is halfway of the 4 week duration

I hope so as I've got all the games I'm interested in.

I'm actually hoping for Black Ops 3 to go on sale, I fancy playing it but certainly wouldn't pay the full digital price when the new one is arriving shortly.
