2K don't make GTA....Disgraceful.
P.S. Wait, highest selling 2K title on PC does include the GTA games?
Disappointing.
Really don't know what else to say. It seems most people just don't care about Epic fucking shit up.
2K don't make GTA....
Rockstar make GTA.
I mean I know people still waiting to play Bloodborne when it hits PC, not sure it means anything, though. I'm def wondering how it does NPD and for the year as whole.
I can see you are a goner now, but having played BL2 is precisely why I personally never gave a damn about Borderlands 3.I can’t imagine that anyone who played BL2, 7 years ago would be unhappy about more of the same, yet here we are.
what do you care about?True is, normal people do not care about steam. I certainly don't.
That is his point. Is Bloodborne coming to PC? Maybe I missed something but I thought it was still a PS exclusive.
That is his point.
People wanting it on PC didn't affect it sales.
People wanting it on Steam didn't affect it sales.
It's hilarious how these two contradicting narratives keep clashing with each other. It's so hard to tell these days what is a genuinely widespread backlash, and what is just a noisy minority. It seems that this whole Epic thing may be the later.
It's hilarious how these two contradicting narratives keep clashing with each other.
On one side you have "Weeeh, it's just a noisy minority of complainers" and on the other there is "WEEEEEEEH, TENS AND TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DEATH THREATS TO DEVELOPERS IN THE LAST 24 HOURS!".
It seems a bit too convenient for a certain group that both of these could be true at the same time, doesn't it?
By the same logic, thousands of people willing to "take action" and writing complaints (sorry... totally credible DEATH THREATS) in a 24 hours span must also be a tiny fraction of the whole amount of people unhappy with it.Well, in the context of millions of copies being sold, thousands is a small minority.
Well, I'm glad it beat record-selling titles like Battleborn.
That is his point.
People wanting it on PC didn't affect it sales.
People wanting it on Steam didn't affect it sales.
Do we know how much days gone selled? One thing I've realized this gen is that every game people pitchfork against for one reason or another, has smashed records...…..
Mortal Kombat 11
Crash bandicoot
Spiderman
Days Gone
and the games hyped to kingdom come....did not.
Evolve
Anthem
Titanfall
Sea of Thieves, Crackdown 3
No exact figures, but it's position on sales charts and feedback from the devs have been very positive.Do we know how much days gone selled?
I didn't even know there was controversy about Crash and Days Gone. And Spiderman was like downgraded puddles? Yeah, nobody cares. One thing I've realized this gen is that every game people pitchfork against for one reason or another, has smashed records...…..

wait a second... you know people that actually are waiting unironically for bloodborne to come to PC? simpsonshaha.jpegI mean I know people still waiting to play Bloodborne when it hits PC, not sure it means anything, though. I'm def wondering how it does NPD and for the year as whole.

Yes they do.Boycotts don't work, as if that wasn't obvious already.
The key to great marketing: pornhub.
No doubt, Modern Warfare 2 was a classic example,,,,Boycotts don't work, as if that wasn't obvious already.
The meme is 10 fucking years old, get over it. It's like people trotting out the that macro of protags circa 2008 as some sort of gotcha. Has literally 0 relevance. No doubt, Modern Warfare 2 was a classic example,,,,

It is near Bloodborne in US even being launched this year.Do we know how much days gone selled?
A shooter/open world exclusive selling more than a game like Bloodborne? It is ahead Bloodborne in US even being launched this year.

The MW2 one doubly so, because CoD did lose all the momentum it had on PC a few years after what, Blops 1? By the time Blops2 and Ghosts came out, it was nowhere near its height, and that's directly a result of the consolification starting with MW2, the lack of PC features being the source of the boycott. MW1 used to be the new CS. You'll bring up a dead meme from 2009, but not bring up how things turned out a few years later as a result?
Boycotts work, when they actually happen on a large scale. Read some history. 100 people saying they won't buy the game doesn't equal an organized boycott (nor is an open group anyone could join like that Call of Duty group somehow proof that the - still insignificant in numbers - people who said they wouldn't buy the game bought it in the end, as people always intending to buy the game could have just as easily joined the group for laughs, duh). People don't generally call their decision to not buy stuff without said organized large scale a boycott, that only happens online I guess, lol.The sequel was purchased by 50 percent more consumers within its first five days of release than its predecessor Borderlands 2, making it the fastest-selling title in 2K Games history, as well as the highest-selling title for the label on PC in a five-day window.
Yet Blops 1 was one of the best COD game of all times.....Of all times.....The meme is 10 fucking years old, get over it. It's like people trotting out the that macro of protags circa 2008 as some sort of gotcha. Has literally 0 relevance.

Most Probably playing Advanced Warfare 2 .....I don't think it would be possible to place all 833 members in one screen......So the point was made with one page....I know this gets shown a lot but where are the other 801 members?

Great argument. "Shitpost.jpeg is relevant because it shows a thing. The context and results of this thing doesn't matter because later game sucked lol."Arguing it's 10 years old is a little weird considering we have a current example of a boycotted game doing well. It's interesting to see that even a decade ago this shit didn't work. And man, using Ghosts as proof boycotts work is pretty sad, the game is considered the worst entry. What does as a result mean in this context? Ghosts was bad AS A RESULT of a failed boycott? Weird logic.
nah, Blops 1 got propped up because of MW2/IW hate at the time, it's fine, but nowhere near what people pretend it to beYet Blops 1 was one of the best COD game of all times.....Of all times.....

And your Ghosts complaint is backwards. Read the phrase "by the time", y'know 'cus I'm talking about a frame of time here, in my original post. Implying a continuous drop in popularity over a period of time. Releases of games being references in time. The game is not used as an example for successful boycott. "buh Ghosts is bad", good for you, that's not what was said.
Speaking of boycott, I didn't say the boycott did that either. You would know this if you didn't fall over yourself to shit out a response, and instead read what I wrote. I said the 'cause of the boycott, the removal of PC specific features, had a longterm effect of driving away people on PC, which can be seen in its decreasing popularity over the years that followed. The point being that the original issue, that creates a boycott, can itself be such a problem that it has devestating long term results, even if it at first glance it seems to not do anything.
The only weird logic here is your complete inabilty to even comphrehend what you are responding to, while at the same time thinking you have a valid rebuttal and being smug about it. That's called 'embarrassing'.
nah, Blops 1 got propped up because of MW2/IW hate at the time, it's fine, but nowhere near what people pretend it to be
thanks, you just proved you don't read before respondingModern Warfare 3 had, at the time, the biggest day 1 sales of any video game ever. That was after Modern Warfare 2 if you're bad at numbers and not even the year after. Next year's game, BLOPS ll, the game before Ghosts took that record from MW 3 having the biggest day 1 launch ever AGAIN. And then let's get to Ghosts "Despite shipping $1 billion worth of units to retail channels within 24 hours of the game's launch, overall sales were down compared to 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Activision blamed the fall in demand on uncertainty caused by the upcoming transition to eighth generation consoles. "
thanks, you just proved you don't read before responding
we were talking about PC, only PC, boycott was on PC, about PC features, and the long term effect of lacking PC features on PC CoD popularity, on PC
your response was about overall sales, with hyperlinks to consoles
I am astounded, mainly because this is your second response, and it seemed like you had a grasp on the PC part in your first one
lol, demands proof of thing -> says thing doesn't matter, gg boohAre you going to link us any proof specifically on PC games like BLOPS II and Modern Warfare 3 were failures? Or should we just take your word for it? And even if it flopped on PC the argument is sort of a wash when both games sold more copies than ever before despite that isn't it? You have zero proof any boycott impacted CoD in anyway, Ghosts flopped because it was bad and Infinite Warfare had trouble because people were mad about it being futuristic again. I would like to see if you're capable of finding isolated PC sales numbers, though, to prove your bad point.
Nobody cares about clients on PC, pc gamers never did.
Those steam overlords living in a delusional bubble as usual try to make up cult like reasons why things are happening is just funny to read.
Biggest games on PC never where on steam. PC gaming exists out of endless clients already from day one of online gaming.
This isn't surprising.
