yeah let the character carry a gun and then it becomes gameplay. /s
Okay. Im just genuinely curios. Is it like a mystery game? Do you solve puzzles? I can't hear the audio in trailerThe developer has its fans and it's not often we get adventure games anymore. Hence the excitement.
Really excited for this one. Dear Esther was a great experience and I have no doubt this will be too. Probably not a game for everyone, but there's definitely an audience for these kinds of games.
Uhh... am I missing something?
You guys are interested in this "religious fiction" type of story? That trailer showed absolutely nothing.

I doubt it's one of those evangelical nonsense things, it's just an interesting premise.
It sounds like it is though! Are you familiar with the Left Behind book series?
I'm just warning you, don't be surprised if this thing turns out being about the Christian Rapture. Most likely they don't overtly use Christianity in this game and they just make up their own religion for the game... but they're trying to drive home a point on some stance about religion.

So both this and SOMA are not listed on any retail sites, are they digital only?
I actually thought this was a photo at first...

Not sure why people are so hyped, is it just cause of the pretty?
Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture™ tells the story of the inhabitants of a remote English valley who are caught up in world-shattering events beyond their control or understanding. Made by The Chinese Room – the studio responsible for the hauntingly beautiful Dear Esther – this tale of how people respond in the face of grave adversity is a non-linear, open-world experience that pushes innovative interactive storytelling to the next level.Over the course of the game, the player slowly pieces together the fate of the valley from the fragmentary memories of the people who made it their home. By finding and interacting with the traces of these lost lives, the player gradually learns about the stories and relationships of the inhabitants – how they lived, and how they died. All this is accomplished through revolutionary environmental storytelling – what you see and hear in Rapture is just as important as what you do.
Some people like this kind of game? I for one love to chill and soak in the atmosphere in games like this. No need to worry about anything. Just veg out for a few hours and chillNot sure why people are so hyped, is it just cause of the pretty?
