Quick question, folks:

I've never been to Evo before and am thinking of going this year. So, stupid question: How does admission to this thing work? Do you buy tickets, do you just show up and hope for good seats, or are there some other requirements for getting in?

Also, would you recommend staying in the same hotel where Evo is being held, or does it matter?

You get a pass you wear around your neck then you can come and go from the event as you please.

For seating it's just get your ass in the room and get a good seat.

As for the hotel it's up to you but it's pretty convenient to get one where it's held.

Stay at the venue hotel. It's super convenient. Makes going to and from the ballroom easier, easier to find the casual rooms, gives you more time to sleep before pools. It's the smart choice.

EVO is the one tournament a year where I definitely stay at the venue hotel and only room with one or two very close friends.

I read that storywise, King has been embracing her feminism more as the years have gone by and after being outed by Ryo as a female, so the developers reflected that in her design. Shes still very modest and wonderfully designed IMO.

Since The Art of Fighting, King has been ashamed of the fact that she was a woman. But with Ryos protag power, getting to know Mai and Yuri she's getting comfortable about her feminity.

It's all character development.
