Oh and... I liked all of the characters, except maybe Rinoa. And she wasn't THAT bad. Certainly not on the level of Eiko/Steiner/Quina or something.

Ahaha yeah actually I hate all of the FF9 characters apart from Garnet/Dagger. They're really grating.

I have the exact opposite opinion. Most characters in FF8 are pretty annoying and unlikeable ... Squall, Zell, Selphie, Irvine ... ugh. FF9 had a fun cast though, especially Vivi, Steiner, and Garnet.

It's pretty badly moderated though (as you might have noticed.) I got a warning once for posting that I'd read in a magazine that FFXIII eidolons like Ifrit were supposed to be historical eidolons (this was before the game was released.) That was it. I got warned to remember to mark spoilers and if I did it again I would be banned. I was a bit confused.

Ah, GameFAQs was my first forum as well... but I did most of my active posting in 2001-2002.

Yeah, I'm on board this ride. Some of the characters had me asking whether they were remotely balanced in the head. Good designs (except Zell and his Mike Tyson tattoo), but some of their personalities were not really appealing to me.

Can someone tell me how this even makes sense?

I'd totally go to a school if Robin Williams was the president/dean/headmaster/king, though.
