No new races is a serious bummer.

As for fates , Nintendo only has to restore all those cut support conversations and i'll maybe come back to this game.

As much as I'd love this I don't see that happening (outside of rumored Revelations port and Musou game). To me, we're likely to see the above two + mobile game. Anything more than that and I'd be pretty impressed. If we do get a new FE, it'll likely be one for 3DS, unfortunately.

Probably going to be Warriors focused, judging from how they handled Mario Run info they probably know the core Nintendo base doesn't give a damn about supplementary mobile games.

Compared to 6's gigantic cast 7 is a pretty big reduction in size. I would trade the cast size for varied map objectives any day though.

Excited for Warriors, I loved Hyrule Warriors!

If we are able to play it splitscreen with the joycons, I'll happily take the game with me. Fire Emblem is an even better match than Hyrule Warriors, I think. They might go crazy with Pegasus riding, all those different classes and weapon classes etc.

The Japanese tweet also indicates that next to the smartphone entry, a lot of / various news regarding the series itself will be included in the broadcast.

So my prediction would be:

Fire Emblem Warriors for 2017 / early 2018
Fire Emblem Smartphone Game
Fire Emblem Switch (3DS upport "Deluxe Edition" of Fates)
Fire Emblem Virtual Console on Switch

I'm not that interested in the smartphone game, but I think this might be the first true core experience from Nintendo on smartphones. Fits the devices perfectly, as well.

I think this is the absolute most we should expect. Warriors and mobile on their own could get lengthy segments, since we know nothing about them. A tease about the new entry being in development for Switch seems fair game, though.

Warriors is likely coming this year. FE Next is likely mid-to-late 2018 at best.
