It's a pretty transparent way for them to fulfill the Canadian actor requirement to get tax benefits.
OG Robocop would shove his fist up that guys ass elbow deep minimum.
He's not some dude in a suit. He is half-dude half-suit.

Dumb poster, I don't even know what I'm looking at.
Just as well I suppose
I still remember Canada's take on Robocop Tv series from the early mid 90s the best
The canadian show was in EnglishWhen I was in India, I watched some Russian dubbed French Robocop show. I dunno if it was the Canadian show or what, but it was so goddamn terrible. The worst shot show I'd ever seen. Such terrible acting. There were two Robocops fighting each other and then one fell into some water and got fried.
It was amazing.

In the Canadian made miniseries, Robocop: Prime Directive, there was another Robocop, Robocable, who wielded two Auto-9s. I think that you have the TV series on DVD.The canadian show was in English
Acting was fairly bad cuz it was made with a lot of canadian actors ya never heard of and it was at times, not big on violence and campy
There was never 2 robocops... I have the whole show on dvd

And the new suit, and ED-209 look absolutely generic and awful.
All cop!
I think that's what they're gonna do. Wouldn't be surprised if he's just a dude in a suit that enhances his human abilities. A true cyborg.I know a lot of people are flipping out about the suit looking too generic/not silver/not sufficiently robo-like... but the thing that is even more important, the only thing that truly matters to me... is they better not friggin' make him retract his visor and talk to people with his whole face uncovered as if he's just some dude in a suit.

Also, HE BETTER HAVE HIS LEG GUN HOLSTER!!!!

Clearly they heard NEOGaf's reaction to the new suit and wanted to hide er up
How far in the future does this movie take place? The original suit did and still does look like the kinda cyborg tech we would see in the near future. This suit looks like space age stuff.
....Don't think so not even looks like something we have TODAY =P

You kidding rigth?
Len Wiseman is not a good director, though. Jose Padilha is.Probably will be even more generic than Total Recall.
Screenplays based on PK Dick stories should be exclusive for Verhoeven to direct. Spielberg is allowed to direct whatever he wants of course.
Looks terrible.
As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't proven his ability to direct big budget action movies.Len Wiseman is not a good director, though. Jose Padilha is.
I watched Robocop some time ago, and yesterday I watched Robocop 2. I still have to say this new design sucks.
The original suit looks so great in the movies. For example the feet. There was a real good close up shot in Robocop 2, and even the feet look great. Not too big, and nicely shaped. Yes, the sound effects are great as well. With every move Murphy makes. Look at the boots on the new design. Just doesn't look right. I'm also wondering if this new Robocop dude is actually going to move like he is a robot. Peter Weller did an excellent job with that. Even little things like the way he moves his head and stuff.
This is pathetic, why even try. If they put this much effort into the design of the suit, they wouldn't be in this mess.
Detroit must not be that bad in the future if the police can afford this type of shit.
I don't think it takes place in detroit this time... i'm not sure though
What!? Sacrilege. Detroit is even more perfect today than it was back then.
Exactly, except there's no hope for Delta City
Robocop doesn't use excessive Force
