Flower (PSN)

Just finished the game (not 100%). Last level was fucking fantastic, 10 times better than all the others before combined
fucking loved painting the city De Blob style.
:D

Overall, the first and the last levels impressed me the most. Now time to look for the rest of those hidden flowers. :o

Downloadable GOTY so far.

I could use a nice, relaxing experience right now and I'm a sucker for anything that even approaches "games as art," so why not? DLing.

God the game is so good. Finished it but trying to get all the hidden flowers in it.

I didn't really like the end level but the credits made up for it :D

Finished - that was all kinds of awesome :) Much respect to everyone involved.

My flower #5 (2nd to last one) looks really limp :\ The level just faded out before I got to the vortex, so I'm not sure if I 'failed' the level or something? I did lose a load of petals in the last section flying through the pylons (I think I only had 3 left!) - is how 'perky' it is related to how well you did?

Played the first level. Really really liked it. The sense of flight is quite exhilarating, and it certainly looks and sounds great. That Game Company also really gets how to do motion controls. I find it really controls better than flow, which I had some issues with.

I really hope lots of people buy this. The developers really need to be praised for making different kinds of games like this. And Sony for encouraging it.

Wow, the last level was amazing. The last part of the credits was really beautiful. Very nice game overall, kudos.

this is probably the corniest shit I could possibly say, but after playing this game for an hour, the headache I had all day is suddenly gone. True story.

I don't want to gush, but O-o I am REALLY enjoying it so far. I finished the first two levels and I'm stunned at the graphics and the style. I just figured out the speed is analog as well and running at 3/4 full speed is the way to go. I've just been cruising around the levels without a care, and I love the controls.
Just coming over the big hill in level one to the dead tree is such a beautiful moment moment
I'd really say more great stuff but I want to play more. You really MUST play experience this game!

Edit: D: no, don't game share this; buy buy buy! Support this!

The game is better than any hype or gushing it has received. Its just a beautiful, entrancing kind of game. I can only really compare it to two or three things.

1. Electroplankton
2. The old PS1 demo of the T Rex where the point was just to play around with it.
3. Shadow of the Colossus for the open fields feeling.

In fact, I really hope that Team Ico can do something that looks as good as flower.

I'm glad I got it.

Just watched the developer diary that is on the PSN store. This game looks amazing. Very soothing. Will be picking this up by week end.

I'm downloading it now, the last time I was this excited for a downloadable game was probably BC: Rearmed. I actually forgot today was thursday too.

It depends on how many (out of 3) of the hidden flowers you get in a level, those are
what make the flowers bloom fully, it has nothing to do with how well you did in the level.

Last level is....wow. What an experience. It's like playing Area 5 for the first time.

Anyone else notice the flow cameo there?

As good as the visuals are, I think the audio tops them. The music, ambience, and sound effects are all top notch with great surround presence.

Game length is fine also. Took about 2 hours to get to the credits, but there's still a lot left to be found obviously.

In the last level? There's a hidden trophy for that in the 3rd level I believe.

Just beat it..
...it's just a beautiful game.

My only complaint is that in some levels there's areas where you can't backtrack to 100% the flowers in previous areas (at least, I couldn't find a way - damn wind) - which totally sucks. lol
Aside from that, it's a great experience and totally worth the $10.

Wow....
Played the first two levels, I'm going to save the rest for tomorrow!
Fucking awesome, listening to the title music now, it's so wonderful, such a great and peaceful game!:D

You can backtrack, the trick is to fly high enough that you can avoid the wind.

breathtaking game. I wonder what would be like to lay it in stereovision.
Reminded me lots of rez (as wario suggested) both the feel and the sound sample.
also the fact that there is almost no dangers.

Ah, as a plus, i think this is the ONLY game I played on PS3 with working sixaxis controls.
(i really didn't like flOw.)

The game is amazing, it feels so calming when playing it. I haven't finished it up yet because I want to save more for later but the first 3 levels are awesome.

Amazing, if short, experience. Incredibly unique, belongs with the Portals of this world.

Proves sixaxis doesn't have to be a gimmick and can actually be the best option for certain games. Visually stunning throughout.

I loved it
and the final level was just wow.
:D
