Forza Horizon 6 |OT| Tōge Drift

I have to disable afterburner and riva tuner for Forza 6 to launch. If I try to launch the game with them running, the game starts then crashes.

You need to connect to that xbox thingy for registration and saying hello...but you can close it imho. I dont have xbox popups...thank fckn god! ;)

Thats weird. There are tons of vids running this game with afterburner/rivatuner. 🤷‍♂️

Strange, I have both running and its working fine at my end here.

Just got the blue wristband. This game is phenomenal and well deserving of the high scores it's getting.

The only game I've had trouble with this is Cyberpunk, it didn't like my undervolt. But yeah FH6 starts and runs absolutely fine at my end with both afterburner and rtss runnning. I prefer to use rtss to cap the framerate instead of Nvidia, so it's running all the time. Hope you get this resolved!
 
I was surprised by the fact that because I didn't have enough internal storage on the Xbox Series X, I thought I could download the game to an external hard-drive which had the space, but it seems when I tried to launch the game it didn't like that, and said either save the game to some sort of game-card, or the internal storage, I wonder why that is...hopefully that's not the case with the games I have actually purchased...maybe Microsoft felt I'd cancel my Gamepass subscription and run away with a free downloaded version of their flagship racer... :messenger_grinning_smiling: (probably not..) but I guess its a security thing, and applies to all gamepass games..

Series X|S formatted games (or gen9 games) can only be 'cold stored' on external USB/SSD drives, to play them you need to either transfer them to the internal or have one of the proprietary expansion cards.
 
Anyone getting less performance than at launch? Seems like I'm down 5-10fps today and can't place why. Were there any patches I missed?

EDIT: nvm, figured it out, had my voltage offset wrong so my gpu wasn't undervolted. 300mhz more on the core is easily noticeable even without the FPS counter.

Would anyone know why my son who is in my family and his Xbox is set as the home Xbox cannot play online in this game? Xbox says he should be able to use my Gamepass ultimate subscription to play online but it will not allow him to wants him to buy a subscription.

Eh? The load times are pretty short in my experience so far. The only time I had longer times was the eve of the launch day when the servers were probably getting hammered.

Yeah I was about to say lol. The load times on my PC version (Xbox app) are practically nonexistent.


Side note, I think this is my favorite map in the series. They finally made a game that has a map I like better than FH2, and 3 and 4 had pretty fuckin solid maps.

Just checked the resources required to play this in the cloud and as expected..

7w power draw
~12% CPU load
~4% GPU load
400mb worth of RAM for the browser tab

that's on a Mac mini m4 running in the edge browser

If you are on a mobile device or a laptop there is zero reason to bake your system running games natively lol
 
I have gotten as far as messing with the benchmark to see what I can squeeze out of an aging 3080. It's not terrible but... :messenger_loudly_crying: I have about 3 weeks of Game Pass left to decide if I am going to buy the PC version or just wait for the PS5 Pro version.

It is awesome that we are at a point where this is possible but working fine is a low bar. It is pretty choppy and :21 & :52, oof.

Maybe depends on server proximity? Haven't gotten much chop yet.

Definitely not perfect but at least for me the convenience alone is enough to consider it, especially on hardware that isn't able to play the game regardless

For 195 of the 200, yes.

When I had that many, I just said fuck it and looked up the last couple I was missing.

Any time you do an event or race, any areas you pass which would have them, they get marked after the race is complete so you're not really hunting for them a lot. They naturally get marked on the map.

Or for anyone who got the Premium edition, that version just straight up comes with the treasure map IIRC, which marks everything on the map from the get go.

Thx to FH 6 i bought the moza r5 and thx to FH6 and Moza i have now started to play Iracing.

And thx to all of the above i will soon be broke thx to all the extra equipment i will buy🙂

BUT, FH 6 is a fantastic game, one of thoose game one dosent uninstall untill FH 7 releaes.

Yeah i have watched and read alot about it, i gonna take it slow and steady but it really connected with me right from the start. I love that the cars have "weight" in it. What a world where one can play FH 6 and Iracing, so different but both so awsome!

Had the same issue on first start, solution was to change RTSS setting: application detection level to low from high, also stealth mode on.
