Was just reading the new Car and Driver issue and they had a road test of 2 cars in stretch of road in Tennessee called Tail of the Dragon.

11.x miles(similar to Fujimi Kaido), 1000ft+ of elevation change, looks awesome.

Seriously. The only game I have right now that lets me recreate some of the craziness in Top Gear is GTA4 of all things (although its missing any circuits. boo). The more Top Gear the merrier imo.

The list of things added sounds almost too good to be true and almost a fanboy dream :

-16 cars
-clubs
-completely revamped career mode
-5 new tracks including TGTT and Hockenheimring
-active aero
-exhaust flames
-much better colors/lighting
-Car porn showroom
-Kinect controls

As someone said, the lack of weather and dynamic time of day is the only disappointing thing, although this feature could be showed later.

The 80+ manufacturers is consistent with the details leaked by Kotaku.

Good to see Turn 10 implementing things other games already have like exhaust backfire and moveable wings. Being able to closely study the cars will be nice too (if you can do what the video shows being done). I don't see the point in using Kinect when you can do everything with the controller simpler and with less arm ache. But the game is looking good.

I really like the approach Turn 10 are taking with FM4. Their sense of direction is so good compared to Polyphony Digital. Trailer was fucking amazing - everything was clear cut in terms of features and what to expect.

Would love to buy it but my DFGT doesn't work with my 360 :\

If they don't make it in the game, it is a little disappointing, but they could always get it in Forza 5 in 2013. They would probably still be able to get it out before GT6, maintaining the status quo.

With Shift 2 (basically their main competitor after GT5) having just been released, it's possibly not a bad thing to entice others to hold off (if they only buy one racing game a year).

weather really isnt a thing for me. maybe some rain...but snow or anything crazy doesn't make sense...no track would hold the event with 4 inches of snow on the track. no one is racing a car in that.

Didnt mention top gear either but if you go to the site its everywhere. My guess it might be a feature that gets cut to make the deadline, like active areo and shift animations (later patched in) were in FM3.

Because, it may be a WIP trailer. They could decide to show wether at a later time to build hype. It may not be the best example of communication but we learned officially that weather would be in GT5 really late in the hype for example.

Seriously though, even though the gameplay looks FM3ish, the car details regardless are nuts. 16 cars, though there is no confirmed weather or anything yet, I think the competition *cough* is going to have a hard time to keeping up. This is coming from someone who was very disappointed in FM3. I know Turn 10 wont half ass the Top Gear Track, I know they add more cars more quickly. Yes, the very large amount of people that are contracted with Turn 10 creates a lack of consistency in some spots, but they amount of content and features that come up in the short amount of time is great.
