The XB1 game dvr only records 5 minutes, right? Is there anyway to get around that which doesn't suck?

Can you rip videos from Twitch? I want to be able to edit a bit before I upload it to YT. My old capture device doesn't have an input for HDMI so I can't use it with the XB1. I really want to start another 50 Days of Green Hell but I am having a hard time figuring out a good way to do it.
I should add that I seem to be able to upload designs for other cars, just not the Formula Ford.

Discovered two truly beautiful things today that just reinforce how much I enjoy this game. 1) Ferrari 312 P (what a wonderful, gorgeous machine) and 2) Racing without the braking line!! Now it's super tough and I'm still getting used to it, but damn it gives you so much more freedom and I honestly feel like I get around and out of corners so much faster without that line staring me down.
Need to work on my entries as I usually come flying in and just barely save it and end up going wide, but damn if it doesn't feel more exhilarating without the line... you just have more mental control over where you are going and it makes racing a lot more engaging.

This looks really solid!
Slowly work towards turning all assists off, and then aim for a HUDless display. Racing games are always so much more involving this way, so much more rewarding. Higher levels of concentration are needed but you won't ever learn a track properly with things like the mini-map turned on.
And obviously, if you aren't already: use manual gears with a clutch. It works even with a joypad if you remap the buttons so you can roll your thumb on to the clutch.

How much better is this. I am learning clutchless manual right now and it is a damn nightmare.
It's a .200 to .400 time advantage per lap without really doing anything different. But the clutch on the A button and just press both buttons at the same time with your thumb.

Wow that is amazing, thanks for putting this tip up there.
I suck and I mean badly, horribly, terribly, a lot at this game but I figure I should at least learn how to do it right while learning than have to learn it all over again after getting good with clutchless manual.

Stay the hell away from it... After trying on my friends console 10 minutes ago I should get an award such as "Beach Day!" for being in the gravel/sand more than on the road.

Alright, so I just did a test "pilot" for Season 2 of The Green Hell Series. Give it a look and let me know what you think. I know its not the best quality, but that is because it was streamed and then exported to YouTube. I seriously want any ideas, thoughts or criticisms you might have because I do want to make consistently better videos. Thanks!

Did season one have commentary?
I was kindof partial to the simple formula of the pre-race, autovista-esque car-porn shots of the car for the first minute or two, followed the the lap proper with no voice-overs.
There might also have been a few seconds of engine revs, just to set the mood, but I might be making that part up, but it'd still be cool ;p

Yeah, the first season was just all captured from the 360 so there was no voice over. I thought I could try to do a sort of car review / commentary over the lap, but I am starting to think it was better without it.

I don't think you need a camera as it's kinda distracts from the game itself, also a better mic would be good. Great commentary and car choice though! It's cool to hear you speak about the car in detail.
Also I'm wondering why T10 decided to give the M3 amber indicators? Pretty sure the 3.2 M3 had clear ones like in Forza 4?

you should search for a cheap capture card. twitch (to youtube) sucks balls
I have a nice capture device but it doesn't work with HDMI, only component. So I need to find a new one it sounds like since the quality is pretty bad.
It's a much bigger difference than this. The disadvantage from not using the clutch is almost a different league.

Yeah, I was going to do this for my videos and then try to use the game DVR to record replays for the rest. But I think I might just need to grab a new capture device, otherwise it might become frustrating.
Any suggestions for a good stand alone HDMI capture device?
I'm using the Roxio Game Capture HD pro. It's pretty simple hdmi in and out along with some analog inputs. It's not the greatest card but it fit my budget (under $150). That's what I used to make the ForzaGAF race replays. Only captures at 30fps if that matters to you. Here's a link to the product page. It's $120 now.

Yeah, I have been looking at those along with the AverMedia ones but most of the decent ones tend to be about $175ish. Just sucks because the one I have is really nice but it only does component, which sucks since the XBOne is HDMI only.
I'm just about 100% comfortable with the new ring. Videos are gonna be NUTS
Mr. CrudeDiatribe, any ideas for our design & team name? Right now I just have a black Air Canada FF with a Canadian flag logo but obviously this will need an upgrade before we get going!
