Well, for what it's worth, I think he'll encounter a tough crowd and a skeptical audience, but they'll be able to create some kind of dialogue. It might not be the best or the fairest setting, but I don't think it'll be "rigged" or anything like that.

Will be good practice for Clinton because come the General Election debates, she will not be able to avoid getting questioned by die-hard Conservatives.

Fox was not voted "most trusted". There's a strong difference between asking "Which network do you trust most" to a group vs. "How much do you trust network X". At best, 30% of survey respondents picked them as their most trusted. The Quinnipac poll used to tout that went out of their way to clarify though. i.e. "But when network news is examined on a case-by-case basis, FOX drops in the ratings."

Local news channels did best, which is kinda inspiring to see.

What's basically insane to me is people saying "Bernie is good for Hillary because he's dragging her further left, but I'll still vote Hillary." I mean, that should raise red flags right there about who is the actual candidate they should be voting for. Someone who will err more left just to win, and then will do business as usual during her tenure, or the person who has the desirable principles in the first place and is likelier (if not likely) to stick to those principles as much as possible during his tenure?

There are 3 counter arguments to voting for him as far as I can see:

1. Will lose the general (which is even more baselessly speculative than the opposite argument which at least has polls backing it up)
2. Has less experience/better foreign policy experience (Bernie will surround himself with good non-warhawkish foreign policy advisors, I'm quite sure... PS: OBAMA!)
3. He will get nothing passed (there's no reason to think he won't compromise just as Hillary will -- but at least he will try to rally support behind progressive policies with help from his mandate, whereas Clinton will most likely not actively rally behind progressive ideals... and will begin talks from the centrist perspective at the very best)
4. Will raise taxes more than Hillary (well, yeah, if he can get them passed, which would be great, otherwise, ??)
5. He's not a woman who will break that glass ceiling (...)

Honestly not sure why people think Bernie is simply good as a bellwether for Hillary...

Rather, if anything Hillary is a bellwether for how good Bernie is.

This is an election. Policies are important in the end, but what you say or don't say could win or cost you said election.

It is not even disputable that Bernie has shifted the overall tone of the conversation leftward, and for that alone, he's made Hillary a better candidate.
