lol

"Everybody! These laughs are just too funny for these DVD's, we will have to wait for a new disc format to be invented."

Will eventually buy but not for the current msrp. Most likely Amazon will have it a bit cheaper so I'll definitely wait for it.

I loved this show, but due to my cousin constantly watching it, it killed a lot of my enjoyment. Having seen a couple of episodes recently has rekindled my love for it though.

...Now do the same for Seinfeld and West Wing and I'll be happy.

$279? i will wait for the black friday $100-150 sale.

They're cropped though usually in syndication.

I'm curious too how they got 16:9 because I'm sure they're framed for 4:3 when filmed.
So was The Shield, the complete series which was in 16:9 looked phenomenal. Most of these shows were shot 16:9 but "framed" 4:3 for TV.

for instance

The series looks really nice on Comedy Central HD in the UK. Unfortunately, I've seen every episode 2,751 times and counting. I just can't justify buying this.

I'm worried about this too. Maybe they have an option? It isn't unheard of for companies to crop materials for TV, but I wouldn't consider it appropriate for home video collection where a faithful reproduction is usually preferred.

It's a funny show.

That I also despise for 2 reasons:

- The premise of nearly all of the episodes involves someone being dishonest.. and the "mishaps" that occur with them lying, protecting a secret, etc.

- The "girl porn" wedding crap.. even their supposedly hippy friend ends up wanting to spend 10 grand on her fantasy wedding... let alone Monica, who represents almost every unhealthy stereotype for modern females

Yeah I analyze shit too much.. but I also think it's a funny show.

I just don't think it was very healthy for my generation.. this is a show that became popular when I was a Junior/Senior in high school and I actually think it may have influenced society in some negative ways.

Upside, inside out he's livin la vida loca, He'll push and pull you down, livin la vida loca
236 1080p episodes in 21 discs? (about 12 eps per disc)

Something is off here...

I think it was shot on film.

Friends looks great in HD (Warner Channel). I was blown away in fact, thought it would look much worse.

Yeah when I see Friends, especially the first season, being broadcast on TV in HD it really does look great, really surprised me how good it'd look.
