Halo 2 graphics must blow you away.

And what's wrong with Halo 2? It had some pretty sweet graphics. Of course this game looks better than Halo 2, but there ain't nothnig wrong with H2.
It can.Chiggs said:You know, I was, and I could actually buy *some* of that. Here's why: Xbox 360 uses a combination of multicore architecture + unified shader technology. The early dev kits weren't really representative of the system's power because, quite frankly, the hardware in the dev kits couldn't even do some of the stuff that the final system could do. There were some real drastic differences in regards to hardware comparisons.
I don't know if the same can be said about the Revolution.
Dracos said:The success of DS and the impending Revolution is really causing some folks to come apart at the seams.

Aren't the pictures from some shooting range? Anyway, don't blame Nintendo... they don't censor stuff anymore.John Harker said:The biggest thing TO note, I think, is that its said to be extremely violent, bloody game - yet there are pictures of people BEING shot, and not a single splot of blood to be found.
John Harker said:Bingo, finally saw.
Ok, so its not mind blowing - but who ever said any of the pics were?
The detail is higher than GC can produce now, and frankly, the game just SOUNDS fun - hell, even the pics LOOK fun.
So, no complaints.
I'll be playing it in under a month, and we'll check back and see how it stands, haha
Edit:
The biggest thing TO note, I think, is that its said to be extremely violent, bloody game - yet there are pictures of people BEING shot, and not a single splot of blood to be found.
So, violence, but toned-down? No blood/gore/excessive violence?
I'd say that's Nintendo's influence directly. But hey, I don't play games for blood, so....
SoVos20 said:Your right on final hardware it will probably look better than Halo2. Given the current sub Halo2 graphics though, saying these graphics are impressive means Halo2 graphics should blow you away still.

Eh? The Nintendo-published Geist had a crapload of blood and gruesome deaths...This isn't the Nintendo of the SNES era...John Harker said:The biggest thing TO note, I think, is that its said to be extremely violent, bloody game - yet there are pictures of people BEING shot, and not a single splot of blood to be found.

Vashu said:I have to agree, I was in a little discussion about Oblivion, about how the game looks absolutely great, but the art direction for the characters was just plain horrible. I don't get all this hate on the Rev and Red Steel either. From what I can tell the game is going to look great, and the info PhoenixDark posted had me wanting to play this game, figure out the entire controlscheme.
I also agree with his remark about some people being shallow about graphics. And will someone please stop the frequent trolling in here? Makes this place look like some rancid kindergarten, it's quite annoying right now.

TheKingsCrown said:No matter the trolls, this game is turning heads. I am still deciding between Playstation 3 and Revolution, but this game has sparked incredible excitement from me. I know a couple peeps in the industry, and their office's head was turned at this game as well. There are so many possibilities, and so many of those possibilities have been filled by UBISOFT (as seen in the PhoenixDark details). For a launch title, this sounds great honestly.
Scalemail Ted said:Thats crazy, wasnt the thread where Nintendo revealed the actual revmote controller only 50 pages long? I remember a shitstorm response from that too. Can't believe this has exceeded it.
which makes me wonder .... how do you do blood on a SNES..Akai said:Eh? The Nintendo-published Geist had a crapload of blood and gruesome deaths...This isn't the Nintendo of the SNES era...

We get it from your previous 50 posts in this thread. You're not interested in the game. Give it a rest.AltogetherAndrews said:Art direction? There's a perfectly average looking arm firing at some generic looking thugs with a generic looking gun. There's nothing special about it.
yes. also some different ones as well.Scalemail Ted said:Are the news pics also from the same mag?
Shaheed79 said:The dpi and contrast of those new scans are terrible. I don't know if that is a fair depiction of how the game actually looks even at this stage. Turn the brightness and contrast up of any scan like that and imperfections will become increasingly noticeable. I can still see the incredible detail put into the game with lighting and shadows even with the crappy resolution of these new scans. I would wait until official shots are release because I assure u that these new scans make the game look hideous and the person who scanned them are at fault.
