Otogi series. Beautiful games, technically and artistically. Loved smashing a spider demon into a Japanese temple and watching the whole thing collapse. Wouldn't mind an HD collection actually. Throw in Metal Wolf Chaos for good measure! I only got to play the OXM demo but it seemed pretty awesome as well.

If it's better than your favorite game then it's your favorite game.

Not necessarily, you can hold a game as objectively "better" in terms of mechanics, gameplay, story, etc than a title you have a larger personal attachment to without it being your favorite.

probs Brute Force considering The game broke Xbox sales records of both first day and first week sales, beating out even Halo and microsoft ignored it because it wanted halo to be its bitch

Princess Ashelia is the best part of my favorite game.

I played as Ash, Vaan, and Basch. I regret omitting Balthier. Also, Gabranth made the game worthwhile as well.

One of the best games on the PS2, forgotten too fast as it did not run on all PS2 systems, primarily the PHATs, must be played, I'd even say it's a tad better than Final Fantasy XII (my fav ps2 game).

No way. Rogue Galaxy was a massive disappointment to me. I really liked it at the beginning but the further I got in to it, the more I hated it. It, along with Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 (which I thought was overrated) soured me on Level 5 for a long time.

Yeah, there are still people playing this, but compared to bigger MMOs like WoW, this game was pretty much forgotten about.

The funny thing, is it did what every other MMO forgets. It was actually a MMO. NO instances, no battlegrounds, no zones. Completely HUGE seamless world filled with tons of memorable locations, towns, and mobs. Your character could be built in ANYWAY you wanted. You could allocate every point of XP earned into any part of your character. You could run faster, jump higher, etc. You could scale any mountain, you could find completely random dungeons out in the middle of nowhere. You could wear any kind of armor/items you wanted.

And the very very best part. There were NO quests. Town criers would tell you rumors of things, and it was up to the community to find them. Everything was always new and fresh, and exploration had a sense of accomplishment and wonder.

The MMOs of today are complete garbage in comparison. Instanced zoned bullshit where people with the most time benefit far too much, and all players are forced in the same routine over and over again. They're boring.

Its such a shame developers care more about making a game accessible and easy rather than truly fun.

I played for 5 or 6 years. Great game.

One of the best water racers ever, the levels were a lot of fun, great themes, controls, everything. Nobody gave two shits about it which is too bad. Its probably super cheap now.

When the FUCK am I going to get this on the North American PSN? Europe got it! WTF gives Sony?! Why do you hate me?? :(

I met the writer of that game last Saturday in WV. His name is Beau Smith and he has written comic books professionally for indie scene publishers, DC, and Image for years. He's a local guy who has written comics for DC and who currently writes the Wynona Earp series.

I mentioned going into the gaming industry and Maximo came up and it turns out he got the call to write that game out of the blue. Someone who had met him when they were like 15 or so at a comic convention when he was doing the Guy Gardner comic for DC had spent like 45 minutes talking to him and the experience was never forgotten. Fast forward to Maximo and one day Beau Smith (the aforementioned Army of Zin/Comic writer) gets a call from Capcom. Turns out the guy had grown up and gotten into the gaming industry and still loved Beau's work and thought he would be perfect for the story since they wanted a comic booky kind of feel to it (according to Beau).

All that because he had spent the time to talk with a fan at length at a convention years before.

If your curious about the Maximo Army of Zen writer Beau Smith he's a pretty hilarious guy to talk to and he is always eager to hear from fans and give people advice on how to get into the industries he's worked in. Genuinely one of the coolest guys you could ever meet.

Krusty's Fun House! I was a huge fan of that game.

One game I never see mentioned is Ooga Booga on Dreamcast. A super fun 'multiplayer battle' game (I'm not sure how else to describe it). I played the shit out of boar polo for the month it was free to play online (and then they started to make it a pay service, I know, wtf?). The best part is this game let you play as Abe Lincoln before it was cool.

Troddlers!

A game where you control a wizard that creates (and takes away) blocks. These blocks help little Lemmings type creatures reach a goal.

But the game requires puzzle skills, as well as mild platforming from the wizard. Oh, and did I mention there are grinders, zombie troddlers, bomb blocks, ice blocks that make your troddlers slip from insane heights, and many other sadistic traps? And each troddler death has a devastating, yet satisfying, crunch, splat, or animation.

It's like Lemmings, Pikmin, and Donkey Kong '94 had a baby. Has anyone else played this hidden gem?

If already posted, sorry, but this gem:

There's way too little Brave Fencer Musashi lovers in here.. :(

But I just thought of another one:

I don't usually like sports games, but damn it, if I didn't have a blast with this one!
Such a great, fun game.

Edit:
One more.
