i'd like to partake in this new social networking venture. which kind gaffer should i PM and shower with flowery adjectives to describe his or her greatness?

I actually wouldn't mind an invite to this if anyone has spare, I quite like the sound of this. If anyone has any invites, pm me and I can send my email or w/e.

I sent out a share to the people that pmed but it seems invites aren't open. I'll try again later in the afternoon.

Still stands:

I will invite any person who PM's me the correct answer to any of these questions with their email:

- Where did the Ferrari "Prancing Horse" logo really come from? (You will only find the answer to this in written form) (No one has answered this correctly)

- What special tradition happens to every BMW before it comes off the line? (No one has answered this correctly)

- Question erased because it was too easy...

- Which car company has made every single one of its cars out of carbon fiber?

- What specific car's braking force is equivalent to that of the Bugatti Veyron's airbrake?

- Only one car looks like it has a pair of balls (as in testicles) for exhausts. What car is this? (No one has answered this correctly)

- What do the Scottish Highlands and Gran Turismo have in common?

- If you were to walk into the Ferrari factory in Maranello you would expect to see a lot of red, but in fact you would see a lot of green (the color). Why?

- What was the fastest car to ever lap the Top Gear Test Track?

Good luck... lol.

Why do I feel like Google is going to drop the ball on this like Google Wave? A lot of people are going to lose interest the longer they keep the thing locked down. I kind of feel like the buzz has already died down after a week. No one in my circles are posting anymore and they are all back to Facebook.

The problem they will face is in rebuilding networks - they have to make a compelling case. If you're already friends with hundreds of people on Facebook, why would you want to go through the ordeal of rebuilding that on G+?

i think for many people the question is simply why would you want to rebuild it at all? this is like having some bloatware hp computer and moving to mac and saying BUT HOW WILL I GET ALL MY BLOATWARE OVER!?!?!

for one there will be workarounds that make it an easy process (the yahoo workaround still works though the chrome extension doesn't anymore per facebook tweaking to avoid it) and for two most people are sick of facebook bloat -- one of the reasons people hate facebook so much, so starting fresh is equally appealing if not more appealing than people trying to replicate their entire FB craplist on g+

Hmmm....

I'll just continue to beg for a invite lol.

Spare invites, shoot me a pm.

I'm not sure if people are still handing out invites for this, but I would be much obliged if someone could PM me with one. Always fascinated with Google's attempts to gain traction in the social media market.

Hey Enco, I think your image is having a bizarro effect on people.

totally agree.

rather than just post "PM me for my email", take the time and look through the thread to find gaffers that are offering invites. then send a PM.

if you want someone to do you a favor shouldn't you contact him/her first?

Haha yea I think so.

I've given up writing to tell people what to do.

Yup. I don't get how people can ask for a favour AND for the person to initiate contact and ask for the details.

Invites are closed.

We've been hearing about people getting in randomly but for all intensive purposes it's closed and you can't get in even with an "invite" (which is just getting a shared post through email).

I wish they'd do something like one invite per day per account. That would account for controlled growth, wouldn't allow for mass invites, and would allow people to let in their friends instead of it being empty for lots of people.

AAAAAAAAARGH!!!!

Out of interest, where are people seeing the updates and comments from the devs at Google? Is there an official blog somewhere? I'd be interested to see what they're working on and what they have in store for the future of G+.

Just sent a PM with an answer! Thanks in advance for the effort, and here's hoping an invite works.

EDIT: Awww. Just read the rest of the thread. Hope invites open back up.

Just got an invite, it isn't working yet but thanks! I'll send some out to anyone except gcubed when they open up again.

I would be interested in an invite for the sake of seeing how a WebOS device (specifically the HP TouchPad) handles Google + in its web browser. For the sake of knowledge :-P

PM me a correct answer to any of my questions and I will attempt to send you an invite.

Bonus Top Gear questions(Answered questions will be deleted):
- What real car did Top Gear actually have a hand in designing?
- Besides his height, what is Richard Hammond of Top Gear always haggled about?
- There is a certain car company the hosts of Top Gear hate more than any other. Which company is this?
- What company do they love the most? (It is not Aston, Ferrari, Pagani, BMW, Ford or Jaguar... so that should help)
- Jeremy Clarkson once played a video game, which car did he drive in this game?
- Top Gear once drove a car up a building, which building was it?

Umm... I'd like an invite to test on a Palm Pre then! Yeah, that's the ticket!

Please and thank you to anyone feeling generous enough to PM me.
