Google+ Invite Begging thread

Somebody I sent an invite to got in, so I'm sending out another round to anyone who has pmed me pas this week.

note: this is not an invitation to send me pms

Go to Circles and manually add an email address. Or just navigate to someone's profile and hit "add to circles".


To people sending out invites: try adding content to your post. The last two invite shares I did were with content and each share got 1 person in (out of 10).

PM email and I'll send out G+ "loophole" invite. If the G+ link says overcapacity then try the link again after a few hours.
 
I just sent my cousin the "loophole" email and he said he hasn't received it yet...so are invites closed again or something?

the invites take a long time to process now. sometimes 24 hours or more.

my friend received an invite last night through the share method and just got in a couple hours ago.

doesn't matter if you see the "overcapacity message", you just gotta be persistant and try signing up every couple hours.
 
Sent my GF an invite using the loophole thing.
No email received, but after using the "Join Google+" link from my email inbox she was signed up within 15 mins.

Using that link is your best bet to get into it (after an 'invite' of course).

As I bet you've noticed, we are facing pretty incredible demand for Google+ invites.

As Engineering Director of Google+, I wanted to take a moment to explain why we're growing the system slowly. First, we want to make sure our infrastructure scales so the service remains fast and reliable. Second, we want to ensure that bugs are fixed while there are still a relatively few people in the field trial.

Things are going well with the systems right now so we feel comfortable enough to open up invites for a brief period. Our goal is to double the user base in the field trial. (Sorry, we're not giving details about how many folks are in the field trial yet).

So, in a few minutes, we'll open up invites again.

We continue to throttle invites, so please don't mass invite folks as it won't work. If you invite a handful of your most important friends and family you're much more likely to get these folks into our system.

No more PMs, please. I'll send invites to all those who have already messaged me. The requests came faster than I expected and I've read that your invites are more likely to get in if you keep the number small.
 
So I didnt get an invite email yet, but I just went to the Google+ site and just hit "Join" and apparently I'm in it now? that was easy..
