Google+ Invite Begging thread

I have two friends at work here who want to join, is it just a simple case of me adding them to a circle and messaging them?

-go to the circles page

-add the emails to any circle

-go back to the home page

-on the left under stream, click on the circle with all the emails

-write something

-a warning message should pop up asking if you're aware you're sending emails to people not on google+

-hit the share button
 
I can't get in with the invite that Ryan sent me, any chance of someone trying that circle method and sending me an invite please?

OK, so it works, if somebody invites and someone else puts you in a circle, bingo you're in.

EDIT: is it possilbe to invite people once you're in?
 
So I received the invite from Ryaan (thanks! and you're cute by the way), but not sure how to activate it. When I click on the "Learn more about Google+" I go to the standard page that has the "Keep me posted" button and "Already invited? We've temporary exceeded out capacity."

What am I doing wrong?

clicking on the red "learn more about google+" button should bring you to the sign up page where you see your first and last name in text input boxes.

Nothing they have exceeded capacity so you can join yet.

Damn work time. I'll try again in a few hours.
 
Got an invite from progenitor but after clicking learn more I got:

Someone is sharing with me on Google+ but I can’t join. What gives?
That’s great that someone wants to share with you! And while you can check out what they wanted you to see, you can’t quite yet join Google+. Google+ is in limited Field Trial. During this time, when something is shared with you by someone on Google+, you'll receive it via email but won't be able to comment or engage with the content like other Google+ users. You'll be able to join Google+ as we let more users in over time.
In the meantime, you can poke around here to see all the cool things that you’ll be able to do with Google+.

was there a warning message asking if you're OK with sending an email?
 
Steps to get in to google+

1. Get an invite - it's full, this will not get you in in, but you need it

2. Get somebody to put you in a circle. This will trigger the mail notification that you can join with

YOU NEED BOTH 1 AND 2 TO GET IN CURRENTLY
 
If you go to edit a circle and click 'view profile' on someone who isn't a member, you get the option to invite him AND other people.

Not sure if it works but it looks good.
 
I want a Google Plus too! Steam sales are coming (today hopefully) and I will gift you a little something in return...

This hasn't been the case for me :'(

yeah.... that's what google disabled last night... i've been getting a red box that says "sending email invitations will be allowed soon!" message
 
Well fuck, guys I am still awake obviously, and my laptop kicked into automatic updates, and GOT RID OF MY FUCKING INVITE PAGE. So, party's over until the next wave is out.

So sorry for anyone who didn't get a PM to me in time. :'_\

edit: Just tried it and it doesn't work.

'Sending email invites will be enabled soon!'

Sent invites and messages to everyone who PMd me - hopefully we can get some more people in.

My GAF circle is now at 7 - would like to add to it, PM me if you want to join my mini-gaf circle :)

If any of my invites work, send huge thanks towards Ryaaan14 - I think it's down to him that most of us managed to get in. He's definitely getting a present from me when the Steam sale starts :)

I just sent invites and messages to everyone who PMd after adding them to my GAF circle. I don't have any direct feedback as to whether it's working or not, so if you do manage to get it, can you pop a comment on my wall or something so I know if I should keep bothering to do it?
