WHAT IS BLUE FAIRY
This is actually even faster than the N7. Really impressive.
Far more likely it's a large Bayesian network.
Even if it is a Bayesian Network, are you saying proposing to store all of it on your device instead of the cloud? That would'nt be very practical, would it? I'm sure the database must be a monster.
Does this Google app have the same access to do the same stuff that Siri does?
When Google releases core services like this, YouTube, and maps, that shit on what comes with iOS, the complete failure to set application defaults becomes that much more apparent.
Actually if they release all their great stuff on ios Apple is somewhere like "These mofos fell into our trap" lolWhen Google releases core services like this, YouTube, and maps, that shit on what comes with iOS, the complete failure to set application defaults becomes that much more apparent.
It's very slick and fast, but Siri has the advantage of being built in at the OS level.
This may return results a second or so faster but you're wasting just as much time (longer if it's in a folder) to launch the app and press the voice button etc.
Me too. This works so much better than Siri. I wish I could set a triple tap home option to launch this.
So, Google Now on iOS. lol. I'll download.
I haven't found much use for Google Now or Siri to be honest.
It's not Google Now.
It is much faster than 'a second or so'.
And of course it's faster to access Siri from the OS, but that isn't what people are talking about.
If Siri could talk back to me this quickly, set up my reminders, notes, or events this fast. I'd be so happy.
I sometimes find it taking Siri several seconds to "think" about my speech before finally reacting, even on good connections.
Sometimes it never responds, and I close out and try again.
Plus, being able to interact with the results was pretty awesome. (such as weather)
It's impressive, that's for sure.
EDIT: I won't ever move to Android, nothing is consistent..
from the software updates, to the icons.. most phone's don't even have 4.0 and even fewer have 4.1.. I can't imagine how long it's going to take to get to 4.2.
not to mention each phone's ability to use apps.
I just tried asking it "Who founded Apple?", the response was... interesting, lol

What was the answer?
What was the answer?
No so subtle.
Lets just hope it doesn't take a year.Man I can't wait for Ive to work some magic on the UI. Looking at Google Voice search on iOS makes Siri look like complete and utter shit.
Much of the speed seems to come from uploading word-by-word thereby taking the more intensive process of getting word hypotheses and parallel processing them while you're still talking. Would be an easy enough update for Apple to make if they were up for it.
Presidents need phones too.
Do people actually think the iPhone is actually a 700 dollar phone, and not simply priced that way to discourage people from not locking themselves into a contract?

Ask it who invented the iphone
I asked both Siri and google voice to sing me a song,
Siri: I can't sing
Google voice: actually sings. 2 verses but she does
It's impressive, that's for sure.
