GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY |OT| ...Who?

James Gunn just tweeted that Guardians has passed the original Iron Man domestically to become Marvel's 3rd biggest US hit ever. A far cry from the people who said this would flop.

Which one of you guys are going to buy this?

I'm honest, I kinda like it, and I already own several red leather jackets.

That is a horrible jacket in my not so humble opinion.

I actually did miss Thor 2. Was it bad?

Depends on who you ask. The movie was taken away from the director in the editing room, and they apparently cut out some character development (especially for the villains).
The villains Malekith and Kurse are just wasted (even worse than Ronan). There might actually be too much humor, as what they did with Selwig falls pretty flat. But The Thor and Loki bits are great, Asgard in general is great, and so is the action.

I don't know how anyone can like Iron Man 2 better (that movie has way more problems and a horrible climax), but I see why people would be annoyed with Thor 2.

off topic, except on topic about the box office... how fucking gigantic is Avengers 2 going to be, seriously? Kinda scary O_o

Yeah the outcome of this year was perfect. Massive hype and brand loyalty after producing two genre defining films. Much better than the year leading into Avengers 1, both critically and financially.

Why did you watch it twice?

This, pretty much. WHY!?!?

I hated Man of Steel and watched it twice.

Once at the midnight opening, and then once the blu ray hit I borrowed a co workers copy to give the movie another chance and see if it still pissed me off. There were things that didn't bother me as much the second time, but then things that bothered me more. Never going to sit through it again if I have a choice.

I still need to see TDKR a second time to see if my opinion changes on that. I only saw that opening night and haven't brought myself to watch it again, but I did get the blu ray for dirt cheap last Black Friday just in case. And it is nice having a complete set of all the Nolan Bat films now.

I still haven't watched Iron Man 3 since opening night either. I liked it, but for some reason I don't feel compelled to see it again. I will get it eventually, just so I can have all the films.

Disney digital copies are compatible with iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Instant Video and Vudu. No Ultraviolet support.
Actually, it is Vudu I was really concerned about so that is good news. I thought Vudu was tied with Ultraviolet, though.

Also, I like Amazon Instant Video so that is cool too.

Iron Man 3 is cute on a repeat watch. A lot of it feels like a throwback to 80's Superhero/buddy films. Some of it doesn't work terribly well, but it's still enjoyable.

Lol. The steelbook design is pretty great. Although it seems like I'm the only one who thinks so.. It's funny reading through Steelbook forums and the breakdowns people are having over this.

Why would anyone dislike it? It's fantastic; one of a very few steelbooks that I'd actually like to own.

Steelbook fans are pretty weird I guess. Most would be happy with a boring copy of the movie poster art.
LOL thanks, needed to laugh a bit XD

Is that the real steelbook? omg hopefully also in Europe. Looks sick, I need it
This sexy steelbook seems to be for the UK at the moment (have the steelbook been different between UK and rest of EU in the past?), hopefully the US variant is like this too.
might be the first steelbook I buy, ever

Steelbook fans are a crazy bunch. They feel that they decide what films "deserve" a steelbook (I've seen this a few times at that forum).

Have you read the comments on his Facebook post from all the people who clearly had never even heard of a steelbook, let alone collect them!?! They don't have a clue what a great steelbook is!

In this instance, James Gunn is an idiot who can't even spell "steelbook"! Advertising a steel that's sold out, to a bunch of non-collectors who don't understand what makes a good steelbook and will never realise how bad this is!

Who would have thought that steelbook fans could be so nuts?

Finally saw it again for the second time last night with a friend that hadn't seen it. Just as good as the first time. This is definitely joining my collection.
