I liked parts of the trailer but it is nothing compared to their previous TV spots. I suppose they don't need to sell me on the game.

Considering Halsey kidnapped him when he was still relatively young i can see him relating Halsey(and therefore Cortana because she's modeled after Halsey) as a mother figure.

In Reach George(a spartan 2 like Chief) even calls Halsey mom.

I thought he called her ma'am. It sounded like mom because of the accent.

It was OK. Didn't leave me hyped or anything. I sort of feel like I watched a trailer for a live action Halo series by people who don't quite get Halo. I bet new music from Marty would have made it a lot better.

My favorite part by far was getting a peek at the Didact. I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but he looked cool.

This is what was said in my LTTP thread when I played through Reach. (Sounded like Mom to me too, though.) I will say I think that woman is Chief's legitimate mother.

IN Casino Royal, Bond calls M. ma'am, but when I first heard it I was shocked because I thought they were screwing up the canon by making Bond her son, but on my next viewing I realized what he actually said.

Lol at the ignorant Americans. George/Bond are British. In Britain, no one says mom, mum is used. Therefore the only possible word that they could mean when you hear them say mom, is ma'am.

Just a heads up to people, there are some people spoiling the end of the game in the comments, so I'd avoid them if that concerns you.

ODST is still my favorite. This would have been cool, but the kid's face really ruined things. Seemed out of place/greenscreened, and he didn't even look like he had the same skin tone as adultChief.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.
Recreated beautifully.

lol at the rude Brit. I personally don't doubt he said "ma'am". Was just saying I had the same reaction.

srsly?

Being packed into a suit of power armor for your entire life you aren't going to have the same skin tone as the child you once were who played outside in the sun. ;)

smh. You can say what you want about the impact of the trailer, but you really think it was not well made?

Depends on your standards. It's better than commander & conquer cutscenes for sure. But still, the directing and acting all feel clumsy and forced.

I call my mum, mam but that could be a regional thing here.

It's all good. I actually had a hard time figuring out what nationality Jorge was. (I mean, I don't just assume everyone's British.) His "ignorant Americans" comment was just unnecessary though...

Wasn't great. If I didn't read fall of reach years ago I'm not sure I'd know what's going on. Do ordinary people really care about how the Spartans program was set up? Starry Night cause there was some nice juxtaposition between the past and present so going back to the kids was nice. This one was just showing the sausage being made for the sake of showing sausage being made, I don't think it adds anything to the Halo games for people who only know a bit about Halo and the Halo nuts knew this any way.

Bad.. Too confusing, tue part with the forerunners thing is useless and the spartan program part i think is good but confusing with all these perspective changes.

Not a good trailer for non halo fans. I wonder why they have payed a big director to do this.

Was kind of expecting more, coming from Fincher.

The replacing of the children and the mortality rate of the test subjects are hard to fathom. I got those because I read it on GAF first.

The thing though, it showed the Spartan 2 program. Which was brutal and many did not pass it.

Kids are kidnapped, copies ("cones") of them are left for the parents:
I still don't get this because it doesn't sense at all. Is he like his clone? Then why not make a clone army? A weaker, but similar person? Why bother?

That was a let down. No emotion, no great action, just...a waste. The Reach live-action trailer is superior to this.

So who is the big guy?
Didact?
Guessing so.

And I liked it. Thought hiCef's model is the best I've seen, along with the rest of the character models. I understood what was goig on so it felt very naturalto watch.

Though Believe is still the best trailer.

came to say this.

also the scene with Chief taking down Prometheans was great.
Yet shows that gone are the days of the Chief being a Man-Tank, as he's now a more human, agile yet fragile figure.

Also the Big Bad Guy is clearly who everybody think he is as his appearance in the trailer matches 100% the leaked screen I looked for on the interwebs.
I HATE his design, HATE it with all my heart, and the spell Cryptum put on me is gone. I'm pumped for Halo 4, but it's not the second coming of Christ anymore, which is good in a way but disheartening too
