Still... why can't we look through the sights on some guns?
Also, why is there no animation from gun to zooming in (c'mon, it just turns into a circle on the screen)? I was hoping they would fix little things like these.
Anyway, the Vidoc got me hyped for the Beta, can't wait to try it.

Whilst I understand certain things always have to be scaled back during development, I think Bungie are guilty of this a little too often. Especially when it's stuff shown in vidocs, images, talked about on podcasts, in the BWU, thrown in our faces, etc... I know the PR line of "nothing from the beta set in stone blah blah subject to change blah" about covers it...But, well, in your own words: Don't make a girl a promise... If you know you can't keep it.

What guns would you want to use sights for? A needler? That wouldn't work very well, would it? Halo doesn't need sights for the guns that don't have it. And zooming in doesn't need to have an animation. Fictionally, we just see the zoom the way it is because it's linked into our HUD. i just watched all 4 parts of "the return" on waypoint and i have to say, great job by by 343. if that is the direction (storytelling-wise) that the halo universe is going in, then i'm on board. from the waypoint 'title screen' music (which is really great) to the all of the other content on there, the universe is certainly in capable hands. now if they can take some great storytelling AND produce a good game, well then, color me intrigued.

The Beta vidoc actually killed some of my hype. I'm confused.
For a little context, nothing really wowed me or made me got hype like the Halo 3 beta vid, I watched that like 37 times. And was it just me, or was almost everyone in that video incredibly annoying? I think I just want some straight gameplay videos.

Took me 160 wins to go up 4 ranks. My friend made new accounts when he played with me because the two of us were dragging in disproportionately low teammates compared to the people on the other team. I'm talking like, two grade 3 colonels on our team and we had to play 3 50s and a 48 alt account every game. It was insane. I think the "hidden trueskill" you get from shitting on kids non-stop in BTB and Social forces matchmaking to give you shitty teammates, and the exp you have makes it harder to rank up. It's lose-lose. It's bullshit that I had to play with a new account solely to even out the skill of the teams.
Are you playing by yourself? I went from 48 to 50 in TS by myself and I'm about to hit 50 in Doubles by myself. I find it much easier than playing with people.

Might be their attempt at balancing the Gauss Hog. Also the Gauss hog didn't appear until Halo 2, so fictionally they could dump the overpowered beast without any cause for concern to fiction nerds.
