yeah it's me. Let me ask you something. You think a $100 price drop over a 5 week period in the US is only worth an increase of 30k units? You do realize it did that in one WEEK in Japan, right? And no price drop for the PS3 is worth 40k?

The PS3 will have a larger increase in sales in September than the 360?

The 360 received a $50 price cut which didn't really do anything for it the following month.

His estimate of 320k is basically 80k more than the previous month (not 30k), adjusting for the different weekly sales. Also, his estimate for the PS3 is a net decrease on week-to-week sales, not a greater increase. Not sure where you're getting that math from. His estimate of 320k seems far more realistic than 420k, but I suppose we will see once NPD finally releases.

The Japanese sales increase was also due to a number of factors, probably the most important of all being the release of big JRPG titles. Last September the 360 saw a huge spike due to Halo 3, and that increased it to 530k. This september, there was a price drop, but really no noteworthy software released.

Nah I'm just returning the favour you gave to the people you laughed at, considering their predictions hold as much weight as yours.

Regarding my numbers? I gave up on pulling numbers out of my ass since I suck at it. Unlike someone.
