It's become a bit of a meme now that at every Sony conference or event this year they padded the big announcements out by showing the same Deathloop gameplay footage.
You think you're getting 40 minutes of God of War, Infamous reboot etc and instead you are 20 minutes into the show, they are finally wrapping up the indie games and then, yup, that fucking 8 minutes of Deathloop again. Initially it made sense, their big game for the year and it's due out soon; but I think they've really overdone it to the extent it's probably going to backfire on them. I noticed in the stream comments yesterday the chat completely erupted with anger and frustration when they showed Deathloop.
I wasn't even going to make a thread, but woke up this morning to 3 different Playstation Network emails telling me to 1.) pre-order, 2.) watch the new gameplay video and 3.) don't know cos I fucking deleted it the moment I saw deathloop in the title. I hate this game already, and it's not even the games fault.
So I'm genuinely curious if I'm overthinking this, or if they have actually managed to build up lingering resentment for their biggest release of the year with their PR strategy.
