To me Steam deck makes Nintendo's days numbered. Only games they will be selling in high volumes will be Nintendo first party and Pokemon. Monster hunter is now available on the go via steam deck. For the price in Japan steam deck is going to rule.
I think the previous leak was real, the dates are not. Information is probably somewhat real, the actual release dates are 100% bogus.
Nintendo and Steam could be amazing for niche Japanese games. To me Steam Deck has an edge here since we can play games as Tales of and some Square Enix games. Probabily will be possible play FFXVI for the ones who cares about the game.
As you said, I have to agree. Steam Deck might hurt Nintendo. It all depends how good Steam Will play their cards. The same goes for Nintendo.
You bet sir. I just fail to see any value in what Sony is offering. Pay a huge price in a console and in a game to have the privilege to play it first does now seen to be a good thing to me.
If I were only a PC gamer and had to choose between PlayStation and Xbox the PlayStation would be the obvious choice as there is almost complete redundancy between PC and Xbox as far as Microsoft first party. Playstation isn't even close to that although some believe that will change. PC also has access to Game Pass so not sure why Xbox consoles would be a more compelling option either way.
Selling XSS over PS5 would also be difficult, imo, considering the sacrifices made particularly when it comes to storage space. As a former XSS owner, I returned it for XSX and I'm extremely glad I did. XSS might be fine as a secondary console, but as a primary, it doesn't make sense to me.
As it is, I enjoy have the variety of PS5, XSX, and PC. All the options are there. But that's just me.
Ever since my first console i've always choose my console based on exclusive games. The one with most of it will be the one that I choose. If I can play Playstation games and Xbox games in a single machine, that will be the machine that I'll choose.
About the storage space. Yes, it is a huge problem. Yet is a console that cost way less (S) so I can live with that. But I'll not get any of these consoles. To me both sucks for the same reason. If there is no exclusive, there is no reason to me have a console. And I don't buy this bullshit of timed exclusivity. Also, I just count as an exclusive a game that I can play solely on an specific platform. To the point that some people say that Persona 5 is an exclusive game. But to me it is a multiplataform game.
Good for you, but I can't handle playing games on portable systems, neither have any desire to pay 3 to 4x more the PS5 asking price to build a PC to go through this new gen. I also see no reason to get a Xbox now that xcloud is a thing and the one exclusive of them that I care about, Starfield, will be released on that service and I'll play on it. And, tbh, I'm more inclined to get a XSX down the road that I'll ever be to get a PC. If starfield and subsequently MS exclusives are good, I'll bite and won't settle for streaming, I'll get a XSX. There are LOTS of people like me, so... What was your point again?
Thanks! I really don't have any desire to pay 3 to 4x the price of PS5. That's why I'll get decent graphic card to play the games on my PC. That being said, I just don't care about any Xbox exclusive that was created to Xbox one nor XBSX. Yet I can see the way that Microsoft is selling their's product way more honest than what Playstation is doing.
My point is that I just can't see any value in what Sony is offering. That's all. There is some people who see. But I just can't.
It reminds me of the history about a King and the invisible cloak or something like it. I might just be and idiot who can't see a value in something that really has a great value.
