I have I think 5 story missions left, everything else is done and complete and as long as the story holds up which I'm pretty confident it does, it's gonna replace The Last of Us as my favorite game of all time. I cannot believe how much I love the game, really was a surprise for me. I've spent 70 hours with it so far and just beg for more to do. No game has left me feeling this way espically an open world game.

Can someone provide YouTube links to some godly gameplay please? I'm making this game look boring and every time I try and be more aggressive I just end up dead

PLATINUM GET.

I like what you had to do to get it. It made me discover more story stuff and made exploration more fulfilling. Def a fun trophy hunt.

Does anybody else here just stick to the stealth outfits while walking about? I have the medium one with a 16% stealth weave I believe and shit can barely see me. Makes just walking about the environment a lot easier.

Stop shitting on my team. Start shitting on my finger.

I have ~65 stealth on mine and it feels super OP. I can pretty much run up to any enemy and override them and they lose sigh unless I stand pretty much RIGHT in front of them.

Finished with the main story. First, I went through 2 remaining cauldrons(those furthest from starting location) and they were underwhelming,
one was filled with human enemies, the other is only a boss room with a single thunder jaw --a fight that was scripted into other missions at least 3 times previously?

Final mission was alright.
Last death bringer took a while to bring down, I went for tear on the guns and straight damage on the canisters. Did anyone bother with elemental damage or trip/rope casters?

Let's see what happens after these credits.
Why Rost was cast out still hasn't been stated explicitly. I assume it was just for taking Aloy into his care. Also don't know what the outside signal was that triggered/corrupted Hades, ancient machines evolving or something else entirely?

I think I have 56. I think at some point I need to farm some parts to get the better gear with the two slots. I don't use everything though. If I'm not using the stealth gear I'm practically just running around in fashion souls mode

Walking around the world almost randomly takes my breath away sometimes.

i literally sometimes just stop and look around without moving, like crouching at a rvierbank and watching the sunset. what a gorgeous open world. i swear the only thing between me and feeling like im in the setting is not being able to feel the weather on my skin or smell the flora and fauna

Theersa explains why Rost was an outcast when you talk to her after leaving the Eleuthia-9 facility.

lol, that's a lot of effort. Now I wish I would have captured some videos as well.

1. Tripcaster is next to useless on machines with so much health. I used to do all that too in the first couple of cauldrons, waste of time between retries.

2. Knock off his disc launchers first and foremost, then pick them up and use them! That will be almost half his health bar right there and you'll knock off a majority of his armor with it. Use 2 or 3 break arrows with every shot on those too, the target is so big the spread won't affect your aim.

Is there some mechanic that auto heals you or something? Couple of times I should have died but my life bar refilled to full instead.

If you think that's a lot of effort then you should see my first Thunderjaw fight...it started in the night time and ended in the day time. I like the epic fights though, they have a cinematic feel to them. I think once I upgrade my ropecaster I'll probably start using the disc launchers. For some odd reason I don't want to bother looking for them and slow myself down carrying them. I am starting to realize the Tripcaster is useless on it, it's like resistant to shock or some shit, takes a lot to knock them over too and I don't even think I can critical strike it. I've gotten more efficient with everything else at least. Ravagers are fun, Stalkers...they aren't built too sturdy though. Tearblast that fucking canon off and hit that shit with some shock arrows and it's done.

The only thing that will do that, that I've seen, is leveling up. That restores a bunch of health.

The best thing about a disc launcher is it will stagger. It's a thrill to have a Thunderjaw barreling down on you with no way to dodge, only thing to do is stand your ground and shoot it in the face.

I should do this at some point. For some odd reason I have too much respect for it to cheese it.

Thunderjaws are resistant to shock :) so go ahead and use burn or blast tripwire. Best thing to followup after tying a down thunderjaw is to freeze and pelt it with bombs or use the disc launcher against it, in my experience. I don't critical strike the larger machine since it does meager damage even with the upgraded critical strike

People are praising the great combat and world while I'm just sitting here, feeling a tiny bit empty after just finishing the game. I feel like finishing a very good book and I'm sad that it is over (can't wait for my brother to finish the game, so we can freely talk about it!).
The story took me on an emotional ride with ups and downs. For this narrative alone HZD deserves a 10/10, imo. Well done GG and Sony, you both earned a lot of respect from me today. GG for making HZD and Sony for giving GG the freedom to do what they wanted. I honestly can't imagine another publisher to allow one of their studios to make a new IP with a crazy setting, a depressing story, no season pass, no microtransactions and no multiplayer. I mean even Deus Ex has a multiplayer component and microtransactions, which is laughable.

These last few missions...

I'm crying.

I also had tears in my eyes after watching the post credit scene... aehm I mean there was something in my eye, stupid spring!

Wow. I never paid attention to how she swings her spear.

Some of the silent kill animations are incredible as well. A lot of it comes down to how they are emphasized. I've been watching Zelda and those goofy animations land so much better, like Link doing that double fist pump after his stamina recharges. Or take the iconic Ass Creed hidden blade draw from the early games. The player is stalking someone in the crowd, there's nothing else to draw your eye and the animation is awesome. The way that motion works is probably half the reason they made a movie, it's just so cool.

Just finished it playing on Very Hard throughout. Got the Plat after spending 80 hours in this world, and I still want more. I even took my time - collected everything, explored everything - it just never got old. The game is downright addictive may beautiful and the gameplay is top notch. Perhaps my favorite open world game of all time (or at least in the running). After a long break, Zelda is next.

That ending though, had me crying like a baby. I can't believe a sci-fi game had something actually meaningful to say (talking about the closing dialogue). Also, the concept of
Project: Zero Dawn
was a truly impressive / refreshing twist on this genre. I kept having my predictions turn out wrong, and I'm glad. If I had guessed the story before playing it, I may not have enjoyed it. I seriously thought
Project: Zero Dawn was just recreating humans via robotics or a type of orbital repopulation play like the in-game Odessey. Pleasantly surprised and the world was just created for this story. The hints are literally all around you.

I give it a personal 98/100. Now here's to fiending for a sequel or at least some DLC. Also, fuck
Fero, dude is an egotistical ass
Edit: Also love Aloy, one of the best female characters in video games period. Ya know what - one of the best characters period

Just hit level40 and got the special
armour, and now off back to meridan with my poose

Missed some of the data banks so will have to revisit some places afterwards

I broadcast my fight with the 2 thunderjaws but it didn't save it to twitch?

Its actually quite an easy fight,
coruptoneof the thunderjaws and they will fight each other, just stand back and watch the fireworkshow, costme 15 arrowsand then the one left standing had about 1/4health left, easy kill

i'm still on the Revenge of the Nora quest. feels like forever. i keep getting distracted. spent a good few hours just hunting wildlife. the game is beautiful. spent some time playing about in photomode too. i just arrived at an area with all the ruins of old skyscrapers and you can see what used to be roads/traffic lights. do we know where the game is meant to be set?

While working on the time-lapse montage that I posted earlier in this thread, I've been recording bits and pieces of my best combat for a future video. Hopefully that will give you some ideas (though people are already sharing some great stuff!).

If anyone has specific tactics or fights they'd like me to include in the video, don't hesitate to suggest!

I have another hunter bow with +3 fire mods.

Handling determines RoF.

You can use tearblast arrows for tear and stack damage on hard point arrows, I just find hard points way more efficient.

Thanks. Will try hunter bow with both tear and damage mods, see which I prefer.

Still need to find out how to get two bows with three slots. Didn't seem to let me buy another shadow bow from a merchant.

After finding my way down from the Tallneck on the northwestern quadrant of the map, I felt compelled to just walk around the desert to take in the views. I wound up walking to a cliff, underneath which was a small town and a river. As hectic as things can get fighting machines, the moment also made me appreciate the serenity in some of these quieter moments of the game.

Picture I took a bit earlier:

Anyone know what's up with the black crush in this game? Running on a base PS4 using HDR mode and a KS8000, and there are some combinations of environment/time of day when I can barely see anything.

Also getting black crush on the b6 oled. The black crush sometimes make the game look awful in dark scenes. For example sometimes the body of alloy is ink black while her hair is still red. Looks terrible. Just go to the cave where you find ersa and you will understand what I mean

I've been using this game a an initiation rite for my KS8000, and...holy shit. I'm just walking around giggling. Insane visuals.
And so far actual gameplay has delivered as well. Haven't met many types yet, but on hard difficulty it's surprisingly...hard. Had to get used to the spear almost handling like a souls greatsword in terms of wind-up and recovery, really can't get too greedy.

So I grabbed Horizon a few days ago following my triumphant completion of Zelda, and lost interest almost instantly at how incredibly restrictive movement and vertical traversal is. You can't even climb fucking rocks or glide. What a joke of a game.

And then I came back to it today and have really started to enjoy it. When you can get the GOAT Zelda out of your head, Horizon is actually really compelling. The characters are great, and the story kicks into gear pretty early on. I'm excited to see a bit more variation in the regions, as the starting area is a bit meh. Combat is great fun also.

Looking forward to powering through this over the course of the next week. Solid buy after 4-5 hours.

The only thing that will do that, that I've seen, is leveling up. That restores a bunch of health.

Or tapping up on the D-pad to eat some herbs. Took me a while to realize you don't have to hold the button down.

Can you kill Tallnecks?

Should I even kill them? They look like peaceful creature. I don't have the heart....unless there's a trophy for it or lots and lots of goodies to loot.

Great, now I feel bad just for wanting to kill it.

I've noticed that too. It seems to just fill up your health to 25% if you avoid damage for a while. Not sure if it is related to leveling up or something.

Platinumed, a bit under 60 hours.

Like a lot of people I'm sure, my plat screenshot is Aloy absolutely smacking the shit out of a training dummy with the upgraded spear 😆

As good as the visuals and gameplay were (and the entire game was excellent, congrats to GG for obliterating their precious best games) the plot, characters, storytelling and extremely fascinating backstory was the highlight of a great game for me.

There is a trophy for training dummies? How do you find them - just visit every camp? I remember one at a Banuk camp and I was hitting it a lot just for fun so armour was falling off but it didn't trigger a counter or anything.
