How long has the Czech Republic been calling itself Czechia?

I don't want to sound like a prick but it is literally the first result when you search "czech republic name change".
"In 2013, Czech president Miloš Zeman recommended the wider official use of Czechia, and on 14 April 2016, the government agreed to make Czechia the official short name. The new name was approved by the Czech cabinet on 2 May 2016 and registered on 5 July 2016."
Never heard anyone use it except for a few "special" people.

Like I said, only few people I have seen on TV use the shorter term, like our mentally challenged prime minister and mentally deficient president but I rarely, if ever, heard it in a casual conversation.
Communism does that to you. Most people in our country still vote for communists or crypto-communists. It is so rooted in our culture it is astonishing. Today, we have a remembrance day for people killed by the communist regime while, at the same time, those same people still sit in our parliament. You just can't make this shit up.

I am so infuriated by this. I, as a teacher, have an obligation towards our youth to instill them with proper education and morals but their parents are often fighting with me every step of the way. Things like good behavior, charity, chastity, temperance, humility and others are often looked down upon as they "inhibit" you in seeking "pleasure" (hedonism is what they mean). To an average czech the pinnacle of life is just wasting away and if the communists will allow them to transfer all their responsibilities to the state, so they can just sit on their asses 24/7 and rot, then that is what they will vote for and gladly. Any sense of agency is lost on these people, they live with the mantra of "let others do it, why should I care?". Detestable society we have here and I will do everything in my power to change it.

Everything teachers do is up to the parents to do better, schools exist because parents were too lazy (and/or wealthy) or too busy working in horrible factories of the 1800s to teach their kids so governments around Europe established schools for the most destitute families, slowly and surely this provisional, emergency matter became a standard and that is where we are now. Teachers are now viewed as "the other parents" and are supposed to do the parent's job while at the same time aren't allowed to do anything, it is a major conundrum and paradox which drives me up the fucking wall.

Why not? plenty of tourists here all year long. Only for a few weeks, when the country was completely closed, did the tourists vanish, but they are coming back again.

Have you ever been to any central/eastern European country? That's a stereotype, Czechs are not exactly thrilled about foreigners, just kind of put up with them. Of course in a nightclub you might get a few extra points depending on which country you are from from some Czech girls, but by the same token tons of Czech girls only want Czech guys from their same small village, even if the guy is a dumb, bald bastard that got fat from drinking too much Kozel and Staropramen.
And don't get me started on the night clubs right there in Prague 1, seeing waves and waves of horny Americans, Germans and British turning clubs into sausage fest and all trying to all go for the same girl has turned those clubs into shit.
