I spent years trying to perfect the Tom Selleck eyebrows raising he did near the end of the intro/credits of every episode. :p I'm glad Magnum P.I. is finally coming out on DVD now.

And the Rockford Files theme song is great as well. I could hum both for a while and not get tired of them. :p

I am so glad to read of other Magnum PI fans around, I thought I was the only one. Man did I love that show.

Magnum I am NOT talking to Icepick for you.
Oh come on Rick

Hawaii Five-0 ran for years and by the time the show ended they had some expensive sets and these were used for Magnum P.I. Didn't Mike Post do the theme music for Rockford Files & Magnum P.I.? Haven't seen either for years but I think that name was in the credits.

Time to brag (?).... I worked on the Magnum P.I. PSOne game which I believe was only released for the European markets. Never played the finished product, but I'm confident it was a piece of shit. :)

I had the Magnum theme as my ringer for a while, but I don't think anyone recognized it. Damn kids can't appreciate the classics.

Doesn't that shit make you feel old? Sometimes I hum the themes to Magnum, Airwolf, Simon and Simon, A-Team, Mr. Belvedere or whatever and some look at me like I'm nuts. I'M NOT NUTS THIS IS ART

Did it have Magnum in his short shorts and sprayed-on Hawaiian shirt?

The black man everyone at Activision can agree on
TC was on a local Baltimore radio talk show over the summer... came across as a very likeable and friendly guy, had some great stories about different actors he'd met over the years... anyway I THINK he mentioned that they've been kicking around a Magnum movie for a bit now.... with all the new Ferrari's out since the series... yummmm.

Yes. And that's about all it had really.

I recall that we didn't have the rights to certain things, like Tom Selleck's likeness (though what the hell was on the box I have to wonder) or the Ferrari (so a generic red sports car was used).

Also, the game used the same engine that was in that horrible Mummy Returns game, for the two people out there that put that piece of shit through it's paces.

Perhaps later on I'll list all the bad television tied in games I was going to work on but never did. I swear to you, my idea of a Charles in Charge RPG would have fucking rocked the house if it was green lit.

At least tell me there were TC chopper parts, and they were at least semi-playable

No way, man. One day when I was walking home from work, pondering what I should do with my hair, I realized I'd really need to cut my hair in a 70's (non-)'do and grow a big, fat 'stache. It'd be so very awesome. Then I realized I don't have the facial hair growth for it and wanted to die. :(

Actually there were chopper levels and... surprise! ... they had to be cut due to the engine not being able to handle the action. As it was, with just one or two characters on screen at once, the engine crawled at a lovely 10 frames per second,,so flying levels were basically an impossibility.

But there were driving levels though... but they were strictly top down, a la (the original) Spy Hunter. Though I'm almost certain they got cut as well.

And FortNinety, you need to tell us more stories of your videogame development. Probably would make a good/weird website.

Yeah, and burn many bridges in the process. Not that such a thing wouldn't be fun. :)

Actually I do have a blog but I haven't really delved into my Ubi Soft days too much. But I do have plenty[/b] of stories which some might be of interest to some...
