Is it me, or is whatever the Dev is doing with the controller not matching up with the action on-screen?

Well yeah, I meant a run where my only goal is reach the center. No stopping to smell the space roses or play Star Trek.I don't think you can? I'm pretty sure you have to build/acquire the warp drives necessary for that type of travel as well as make sure you have the fuel and resources to do so. You would be stuck to wandering around regardless to make sure you have the right things to move farther in
It is an old build, but all of the footage was always running at 60, it's just that they weren't always posted at 60.
I have a serious issue with menu navigation if this is final. That mouse cursor reticule seems really slow for navigation. I think highlighting the objects in the menu then a button press for drilling down would work better for my likings.

The fact that it's a laptop-class GPU from a couple years ago, running on an engine from a small 10-20 person team.
Just looking at Firewatch, you never would have guessed that it would be chugging and dropping frames all over the place on PS4. After getting burned on that one, I'm trying to keep my expectations in check.....at least until someone at Hello Games literally says "The Playstation 4 version is locked at 60 frames per second."
Looking at the controller while the game was being shown - the dev clearly wasn't playing the game in this video. He was simply holding a controller while a movie of the game played. That seems to be in line with every other video we've seen...why is it so hard to actually show the game BEING PLAYED by someone in real time?
It looks almost exactly like Destiny's UI interface.
I'm playing via KB/M on a PC though, so it won't affect me.
On a controller, though - I'm not a fan of Destiny's UI. One of the things I didn't like about that game.
Will they be adding additional content updates to the game?

I hope I am wrong thenI didn't realize that before, makes me hopeful for 60 fps on ps4

I haven't seen this asked before but what if you REALLY love a planet that you find? As in, it is just everything you wanted if you could design your own planet. Is there a way to fast travel back to it? Establish a big base on it or make it your "home"?
Also, is every planet one single type of environment or is their multiple environments possible? Like on Earth.

The pop in is very disappointing.
I wonder if they tried reducing some other aspect in order to reduce pop in? I would totally accept a lower resolution for less pop in.

Visit .0000001% of the game's planets.I wonder what achievements this will have.
I'm cautiously hyped for it, may wait on a sale unless I can get it cheapish near release.
They've said they kinda wanna support it like Minecraft. No DLC, but rather, feature updates. MC has been supported like this for YEARS.Will they be adding additional content updates to the game?
when he flew into space, he said that if they were to go back it would be generated again, does that mean that it'll be the same planet with the same animals or something completely different?
I am so happy that our brains work nothing alike. The world must be a miserable place for you.

Yes.when he flew into space, he said that if they were to go back it would be generated again, does that mean that it'll be the same planet with the same animals or something completely different?
I believe Sean has said that base building would be a probable post-launch update. They've said they kinda wanna support it like Minecraft. No DLC, but rather, feature updates. MC has been supported like this for YEARS.
It would be the same planet. Any damage you made to it would dissappear unless it impacted the whole world. If you go to the planet and exterminate a certain animal, that animal will no longer exist in the game.when he fly into space, he said that if they were to go back it would be generated again, does that mean that it'll be the same planet with the same animals or something completely different?
Same planet. Depending on various things, time of day and etc might be different when you land, and you may not land in the same spot, obviously. But it won't be a different planet.when he flew into space, he said that if they were to go back it would be generated again, does that mean that it'll be the same planet with the same animals or something completely different?
My favorite moment of all the video:
My God, It's Full of Stars
