Infamous anime episodes

MudoSkills

Volcano High Alumnus (Cum Laude)
I know I've had a plot point spoiled thanks to wandering into this thread, but I'm now going to watch Madoka Magica.

That creature looks like something straight out of a Takashi Murakami painting.

What a waste of viewers AND animator's time.

Was it a waste though? I still remember people flipping out when new episode titles released for the Haruhi rerun and suddenly we had New episodes with a new opening for two(?) episodes and then endless eight started and killed every human hope. I seriously suffered with everyone.

The series has TONS of fantastic monster designs and beautiful artstyles, that one is just the tip of the iceberg. Be prepared though! lol

Wow Appalled the Tokyo Ghoul torture sequences didn't even make the first page. If it wasn't such a popular show I would understand You monsters.

Higurashi was so good, I wish I could forget everything that happened and watch it again.

Elfen Lied where the group of little boys torture a puppy. To say I was enraged would be an understatement. I even tried to tell myself to calm down because it wasn't real. My anger was real though.
The worst. The puppy was so cute and friendly. :(

Does Rebellion count as an episode? Because that. Super polarizing. I actually LOVED it, maybe a bit more than most of the base series lol I love the extremes of
die a hero, live long enough to become a villain
they went with Homura. I'm just sad we'll maybe never get real closure :/ That ending was Gainax levels of troll cliffhanger.

Based on what? They even released a concept movie to specifically tease the sequel.

Wish they'd hurry the hell up though. Apparently they need to wait until they're done with Monogatari (is that even worth watching? All I know is that it's some out of order series with vampires and toothbrush porn and it's the reason I'm denied my awesome
Sayaka vs Homura
Madoka sequel).

The inspiration of GEKIDAN INU CURRY mainly comes from the very finest "Animes of Czechoslovakia" instead! :-D

Anyway, if you are interested in a pure and unadulterated piece of their design work, completely on its own, check the MV for the song 'Universe' by Maaya Sakamoto:

Burning blue hells, what the fuck!?

Don't worry. Mars always got the worst of it.

Still not entirely sure what the hell she was supposed to be doing here, but it sure looks painful.

I wouldn't change anything that happened.

I wish I had my chat logs from back then because they were probably funny as hell.

Be sure to watch the movie sequel afterwards!

There's no way for someone to know if Monogatari is their thing or not beforehand. Just gotta watch and decide for yourself lol

But like, what is even the genre, or general premise?

Premise: The story centers on Koyomi Araragi, a third-year high school student who survived a vampire attack, and finds himself helping some girls involved with all kinds of apparitions, deities, ghosts, mythological beasts, and spirits.

Genre: Wiki classifies it as: Avant-garde, occult detective, romantic comedy (Lol at the 3rd one)

Oh, did the concept movie ever get formally uploaded online? I just took never getting a good look at it as a sign it wasn't gonna lead to anything. God i hope it does though

Kizumonogatari (the three movies) are superior to Rebellion. Monogatari itself is very good if you get hooked. Bakemonogatari is totally worth it and amazing.

GAF knows that the Tokyo Ghoul anime is shit. The torture scene was a joke compared to the build up in the manga.

Not officially, but there are uploads of the Blu Ray trailer with fan subs. Pretty easy to find.

Last I checked, the studio specifically pointed to Monogatori as the reason their schedule is too busy to commit to the sequel (it's still unknown if it'll be another movie or a full season...I'm praying on the latter since the setup is too involved to do in a single movie).

It's been a long wait but I'm glad they're taking their time with it. Last thing I want is another Pyscho Pass season 2.
