I didn't think this would be my thing, but I actually enjoyed the first season. Looking forward to season 2.

I've never read the comic, but I have a question about this universe.

Damien Darkblood is a demon from hell. I'm not going to ask why he is a detective, but clearly hell exists in this universe. Surly that means there is a Satan and I assume a heaven and God. If this is the case, then why doesn't Satan or God step in and destroy Omni-Man.

Does Omni-Man and the Viltrum Empire even understand hell and if so, is it a threat? Seems like a huge plot hole.

Are all those guys in grey suits some sort of riff off the Lantern Corps?

I liked the first season quite a bit, though Omni-man's motivations were dubious at best and the lead just needs to sack up. The show also needs to balance out the EXTREME violence with more sex/nudity IMHO. Its faaaaaaarrrrrrr too american in that context.

Nope, Viltrumites. Super Man ripp offs.

I'm pumped for season two, but why do i get the feeling the pink colored lady in the pic is a gender swapped Oliver?...

DD coming from somewhere only guarantees that he comes from somewhere, no more. It's not a universe that confirms Christian mythology to be true, as far as I'm aware.

They confirm DD is from hell and he's banished back to hell. That at least confirms there is a hell and therefore other demons and possibly Satan.

If you want to know why God hasn't stepped in, there has to be a lot less "possibly" and a lot more "definitely"

Good to hear on the status update and kudos to them for the way they made that video. I'd gotten into the first season a while after all the images from it were making the rounds so not as much of a built up wait but I had been getting curious about the status.

Part of me wants to think it is odd that the streaming animation shows take a long time between seasons while the broadcast TV networks churn out material every year but I guess it is a different process? Hopefully with Season 3 coming as well they'll be able to move into production smoothly from 2 to 3 and there might not be what feels like as big of a gap but I have to remind myself the production teams need a break too.

I just want this to last long enough to get to Conquest. I want to see what that fight looks like animated.

No, on the banner top of this thread. Pink skin color, black hair. Looks like they gender swapped Oliver.
She's an established character. It's a banner for the comic, not the show. If you're that concerned about gender swaps...

Who is it then? It's been years since i read it but for the love of god i can't recollect any pink skin female.
I ain't being mad or something i know they race swapped a few characters in season 1, now i'm curious to who it is.

I read the comic and loved it,it has potential to be one of the hypest shows out there based on the material they can work with but they are taking waaay too long in between seasons. This isn't Rick and Morty where it's just a bunch of gags with just some slight continuity in between seasons that they can get away with so I think them taking so long is gonna mess up the show's popularity.

Ursaal, Thragg's daughter.

The comic book was great. Similar to stuff like The Boys and Irredeemable.

Is the show exactly the same as the comic? I don't feel like watching the same thing twice.
