Is NFS:Hot Pursuit 60fps on PS4 Pro?

Literally just a question, this thread should be done in a couple of replies.

I know there was a patch to allow you to switch between 4k/30 and 1080p/60, but how good was the lock to 60? I have it on Switch, but may double dip to play it at 60fps on my pro if it's a solid performer.

Thanks!

I believe it launched with 4K/30 and 1080P 60. The patch lets you run 4K/Uncapped (up to 60FPS) which is why XSX and PS5 can run 4K@60FPS. PS4 Pro/PS5 are smooth. XSX dips on one spot on the map.

Cool, so it should be a pretty solid 60fps lock on PS4 Pro then? I've just not seen any actual frame rate analysis of that SKU.

I believe so, yes. That video goes into more details. I think only the Xbox platforms have drops and only on one corner of the map. I've only played on PS5.

When I set the game to "maximum" on my PS4 Pro, I would see a slight stutter in the background going around turns sometimes. But in "performance" it ran smooth as butter. Avoid the 30fps "quality" setting at all costs, the input lag really kills the ability to control the cars properly.

Honestly, to me, there isn't much difference in image quality between modes. Not enough to really matter anyway. For me, it's all about the crispness of the controls, so I just play it mostly in performance, but max is tolerable.

Either way its a dam great game, leaps and bounds better than the recent prior entries in the series....just a shame you don't get to drive any of the SUV's they use as road-blocks, you could in Driver San Francisco!

It's more like around 50 fps on Pro at 4K. Better stick to 1080p60.
Sweet, I don't have a 4K display anyway!

Perfect, this is exactly what I was looking for.

I already have it on switch but the option to play at a silky sixty was too tempting not to double dip!

Driver San Fran was absolutely fantastic, one of my favourite racers ever.

Yeah good game, but some annoyingly frustrating missions...but still no plans in selling my copy of it anytime soon, I may go back to it for a free roam some point in the future

I would like to go back in time and tell my 2010 self I'd be playing this and Halo Reach extensively in 2021.
