iWaggle's Killzone 3 Move breakdown vidoc (pointer shooter 101)

Oh stop... I'm a massive fucking killzone fan and love both games to death. I also play KZ2 without the HUD. So excuse me if I think a gigantic yellow preschool crosshair is stupid looking and detracts from an otherwise incredible looking game.

It could be a normal shooter crosshair. It makes no sense at all... looks like they just borrowed Zelda's from the N64.

GG if anybody knows how to make things look good, but since you have a very erratic and fast pointer on the screen and Killzone 3 is a very contrasty game, you would lose sight of the crosshair constantly. I don't like the way it looks either, but I'm positive they've done their focus testing and research. Based on TTP's video they're doing top notch job in every other aspect of the Move implementation, so I won't let a crosshair ruin my enjoyment of the game.

To all those asking about vaulting, I just found out how to do that. You need to press X while attached to (low) cover. Couldn't figure it out with Move cos I was covering by holding down the Move button, and pressing X I was detaching from cover (causing me to simply jump).

So, to vault in KZ3 with Move you either use X on the Navi or set cover to toggle rather than hold so that you can move the thumb away from Move button and on X without causing your character to detach from cover.

Damn now my video feels incomplete :/

Edit

I need to make a correction. I tested the vault action with the DS3 and I assumed it was the same with the Move (press X while behind cover). This is not the case.

When using the Move, all u have to do is press L3 (the sprint button), so no need to cover toggle ;)

Good to know. I will start the game with cover toggle now.
