I've recently started getting into jdramas. I quickly went through Densha Otoko and Nodame Cantabile, both of which I thought were pretty good.
Ones I'm watching now:
Sunao ni Naranakute - A group of people become friends through Twitter and love triangles ensue. (Drama)
Meh so far... I'll stick with it for now, but I'm not expecting much at this point.
Troubleman - Guy loses his job and goes home to find a yakuza member, rapist, murderer, and a man with a gun who has amnesia. Consequent episodes explore each of their backstories. (Comedy)
Very strange, but fun. It feels a little slow at times since every episode since the first one has taken place in the same room.
Yankee-kun to Megane-chan - A high school kid acts like a Yankee but is set straight by a peppy classmate who was once a legendary Yankee but is now reformed. (Comedy)
This is based on a manga series and feels that way, but it's still a good high school comedy. I like it.
Tsuki no Koibito - A high rolling Japanese business owner sets up a shop in Shanghai and pressures a local woman to become a model for his company. (Romance)
There's only two episodes right now, but it seems pretty interesting. I'm looking forward to how the story develops.
Mother - A woman finds out one of her students is being abused at home. She saves the girl by kidnapping her and living under the guise of mother and daughter. (Drama, Suspense)
Amazing. The story is so sad, but so good. Each episode is throwing daggers into my chest. The acting is amazing too, especially from the 5 year old girl.
