Clearly, the WWE has elected to combat Dolph Ziggler's ambitions of booking stand-up comedy gigs outside of the WWE corporate umbrella without asking permission first by showing him through Roman Reigns that comedy routines can be delivered perfectly fine in the middle of the ring on weekly television.

Well, Gran didn't really have much to do, but of what he did do I thought he was pretty good - Ultimo busted his ass in the middle of that match, I liked his headstand senton thing and top-rope facebuster, then he went over the top-turnbuckle all the way to the floor after Atlantis whipped him hard into the ropes. Also, the crowd seemed way into the Guerreros, more than anyone else except La Sombra.

fun fact: me and La Sombra were born on the exact same day.
not like it matters...

Court Bauer makes a pretty solid point on how much investors can trust HHH as the head honcho of everything once Vince dies due to his lack of a college education and business prowess.

Now I'm picturing Billy Madison with HHH as Billy and Kevin Dunn as Eric, the guy who gets the company if Hunter fails college.

The Roman Empire wasn't built in a day.

So Daniel Brie can do his ring around the rosebuds or whatever it is he does, but Rains has a pocket full of BOOM! Superman punches. Ashes, ashes he will fall down.

are...are you saying Roman Reigns is....a slow burn?

I had a chat with my wife last night about how I am, and being able to tell her was my biggest obstacle (as you never want to upset the ones you love). Spoke to the Doctor this morning, they've referred me to a specialist and reluctantly accepted medication. Ball is moving, thanks for the support and breaking down the wall.

Last update about this in WrassleGAF, as naturally it's a bit... depressing. I feel like I might have said that before.

That's great news Luchador. Getting help is always the hardest part, so its all downhill from here. Good on you mate, keep it up!

Might want to change downhill to uphill, Aiii ;-).

But great news Luchador, admiting that you need help is the hardest part

The womens match in NXT was great, more of that please!

Awesome news! Hope things go well with the first specialist and the medication is spot on. Glad to hear you got through talking to your wife about it.

Thursday mornings now bring new episodes for both NXT and Lucha Underground, if this is not the best thing since the Monday Night Wars I don't know whats up.

Ole is right, all of Ric Flair's matches are exactly the same.

Which makes them so amazingly great. Best heel ever.

Good luck, man. I hope the meds have a positive effect and that you naturally start feeling better over time.

A side effect from when I was on meds was that I could bang FOREVER. Not the worst side effect to have.

Hurricanrana and Frankensteiner are the same, but I only use Frankensteiner for Scotty or anyone else who recklessly spikes the head of their opponent with the move. Also, if it's a roll to the side rather than straight flip, then it's a headscissors takedown/flying headscissors.

Oooof - someone didn't go with the flow all the way, so's to speak...

Hurricanrana seems to be the "giver" moves to the side lateral to the mat, whereas in Scott's case it's almost perfectly straight up.

Although now I'll contradict myself with a Dragonrana - surely it should be a Dragonsteiner...

*crawls back to his hole*

Edit: and Bootaaay nails the lateralness explanation. I need more Halls Soothers in my life. Fuck.

Yeah, any time there's a side twist in mid-air it's a head scissors.

Would be hard or impossible to do the head spike off the top rope, so I'll just call it a rana every time. Asking for move calling purposes in writing.

My first house show:

DX 2009 Tour - Birmingham, UK - November 12, 2009

The Big Show defeated Chavo Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Chris Masters, Cody Rhodes, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, Montel Vontavious Porter, Randy Orton, Santino Marella, Sheamus, Ted DiBiase & The Miz in a WWE Championship Title #1 Contendership Battle Royal
The Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill
The Miz (c) defeated Montel Vontavious Porter to retain the WWE United States Championship
Gail Kim & Melina defeated Alicia Fox & Jillian
Chris Jericho defeated Evan Bourne
D-Generation X (Shawn Michaels & Triple H) & Kofi Kingston defeated Legacy (Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, & Ted DiBiase)
John Cena (c) defeated The Big Show to retain the WWE Championship

It seems that Bryan finally groomed himself up for his first match on Smackdown. He trimmed his beard down finally. Now from this crappy pic he looks like Jesus.

Spoilers:

I'd have preferred he cut the hair than the beard, but whatever.

I looked for my first house show, but couldn't find it. Birmingham NIA, 2006. I think it was 2006 because Umaga came out to squash Flair, who had been having a woo-off with Kurt Angle. Got some sweet photos of mid-air Van Dam, and Show and Kane double-choke-slamming some schmucks.

Do you know this from memory or is there a place i can search for them?

Mine was when Taker was still the American Badass. Eddie and Benoit were there too. Must of been 2002 possibly
I knew the rough time period. I found the results on this wiki http://prowrestling.wikia.com/wiki/ but a bit of Google if you know the location/year will probably get you something.

Guys, if you wanna see some real ass carny fuckery, watch the final episode of Monday Night Wars.

"Revisionist History" isn't enough to describe the fuckery I just watched.

The last few episodes before this last one have been WWE patting themselves on the back so hard that I thought they'd might break their own backs. Somewhat dreading this last episode...
