I find interesting that the second one is the DS version, and not the GBA. Knowing the userbase of both consoles, I´d say it´s a pretty interesting thing that the DS version outsold on its first day the GBA one.

PSP sales will be big: PSP Brain Training is higher than DS Brain Training.

PSP sales will most likely be around 33-35k next week.

I'm betting that the DS is going to hit at least 60k next week, and possibly 80k the following.

I thought this could be a killer app in Japan. Guess I was wrong :-/
Edit: It's PSP's Elektroplankton :lol

That's very odd. It's actually ahead of Pokemon on the Amazon Japan charts at the moment. I certainly expected it in the top ten.

Could there have been a hold up shipping it to retailers?

Probably has a really high adoption rate to the installed base then

I bought the final copy of Talkman from my local shop on its first day of release... I was expecting big numbers too, maybe these guys only got one copy in ;)

I`ll write some impressions in another thread if nobody else has yet (off to do a search now)

:)

Do you that is actually a very old sales trick to get "clever" customers to commit.

Probably shows the transition of active GBA owners jumping ship to DS.

Very surprised about Talkman, but good to see Minna No Golf jump back up the charts thanks to its new price.

PSP will probably have its best week for quite some time. Not sure if DS sales will be too affected unless Pokemon sales are huge. Next week will undoubtably see an explosion for DS though.

Actually, there weren`t even any copies on the shelf... I had to ask the store clerk who had to rummage through some shelves behind the counter to find it. :)

- Suit Gundam SEED > 200,000
- Pokemon Fushigi no Dungeon (NDS + GBA) > 100,000 :D

Never forget! I'm Dumb!
I predict lower PSP sales this week because there are many new PS2 releases taking the target market's attention.

Unless the 890yen porn UMDs caught on.

I expect sales will be up across all systems this week. It will be very interesting to see Mario party numbers, it's not doing so hot in these dailies what with it already being behind Daredemo. I wander if the way the GC has really tailed off this year will affect it's legs in a big way.

He's a pretty swell guy in my books anyway.
As expected imo.
Gundam > Pokemon > Talkman

But I thought it'd still make the charts... oh well PSP's other non-game FTW! :lol

100K each, or just combined?

What is the difference between the DS and GBA Pokemon? They have the same title.
No difference, they were released across both for easier connectivity.

Brain Training PSP has always been bigger on the daily charts compared to Media Create's position...

Gundam > Pokemon :p

that's it, the war is over.... nothing is going to stop the DS now

DS SP by next march + anthoer price drop and nintendo will sell more DS's than GBA's

Seven out of the top-ten titles are Nintendo platforms. Very impressive.

It's also good to see that Brain Training on the PSP has legs, too.

Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon impressions from Gamespot:
http://www.gamespot.com/ds/rpg/pokemonfushiginodungeon/news.html?sid=6140061&mode=previews
Gamespot said:
Pokémon: Fushigi no Dungeon Blue is basically Pokémon meets Diablo, though in fairness, the Fushigi no Dungeon series actually predates 1996's influential action RPG. It's a different spin on the franchise, but it seems to get a lot of the source material nailed down correctly, while setting all the battles in some randomly generated dungeon levels filled with foes and loot. There are no current plans for this game to be released in North America, so Pokémon fans might want to consider getting their hands on an import copy--or they might want to start crossing their fingers in hopes that a translation will make it overseas.
:(

sad news if true, but it is pokemon so it should be localised.

there's also a good thread about the game here:
