Most people on other forums are ranging from "it's aight" to "OMFG!! THIS GAME IS TEH UBERZEZ!!!" The one thing that EVERYONE can agree on is the camera needs work.
:lol But I can't find a forum yet that shares the same hate that you guys do for Too Human.
Not that I give a shit either way though. Just an observation.

Dyack better hope that nintendo will take him back after he receive the pink slip.

Every single one.Goreomedy said:Did you really have time to visit every other forum on the net since the release of this demo? Because that's really fucking impressive.

Or you were right with that first bit about it being your opinion.Label said:the combat is fun imo (I guess alot of people are playing wrong?)
Papercuts said:I also think the right stick combat is really weird, maybe it just wasn't enough time to really get used to it, I was still trying to move the camera with it by the end.

The game doesn't suck. By any stretch of the imagination. Sure, maybe it's not for you. Sure, maybe the combat wasn't as deep as you were expecting. Sure, maybe the cutscenes don't look like Mass Effect. But it doesn't suck.
I can understand complaints about aspects of the game. It's not perfect. And it may not be the kind of game everyone wants to play. But to just come out and say it sucks and has no redeeming qualities is petty and infantile.

I've never played a game like this before. No Diablo or any of its kind. I was curious about this, but not excited. But I found myself eager to get my hands on it because of the history of the games development and the constant discussion among the internet community.
Well, I've played the demo and I must say ...... I liked it! But not at first, really. It took a while for things to start clicking. For the combat mechanics to make a bit more sense. For the RPG elements to clearly show themselves.
Oh, and as for the camera? Definitely mixed bag. But if you use the camera that's higher up, I realy don't have a problem. Sure, you're far away from everything, but you can see everything clearly and the controls make more sense from that perspective.
One thing that grabbed me immediately was the STORY PRESENTATION, though. It never came off well in trailers and things I've seen online, but in the demo it all works TREMENDOUSLY well. There are even little things thrown in to give surprising dramatic weight to the events. The cinematics are well done, though not among the best I've seen. The graphics and animation and sound are all fairly good as well. It doesn't wow in those departments, but it doesn't dull the senses either.
All in all, I'm pleasantly surprised and intrigued at this point. In fact, I found myself HUGELY disappointed once I reached the END of the demo. I wanted to play more. Isn't that the best feeling that a demo can leave you with?
LCfiner said:OK, so I played the demo. lasted a little under an hour. (not bad)
Anyone calling this a complete piece of shit is exaggerating. I was not high on this game before the demo but I found it t be a decent dungeon crawler with some unfortunate flaws that prevent me from recommending it to anyone but th hardcore loot crowd.
The cutscenes got a big 'meh' form me. I thought it might be cool but I couldn't get behind the execution of them. they seemed to be a little amateurish.
I think I would have really enjoyed this game more if it had a more traditional attack model with actual buttons being pushed. it would feel much more visceral and fun. as it is, it's a little unsatisfying and gets old quickly.
the lack of polish in animations, camera angles, voice acting doesn't help at all.
I suppose dungeon crawler and loot addicts could get past the negatives and enjoy the game, but I'll be passing.
