Is there multiplayer? I don't think there is?
I'm still going to buy it on the Xbox one. I find the PS4 controller incredibly uncomfortable.
Who cares? As long as the game is fun...

Why are you in this thread?
Don't care? Don't post.
XB1 is a car that goes 100 miles an hour top speed and PS4 has top speed of 125. How can one ever match the other? The driver of Xbox can learn how to drive it better but so will drivers of PS4. The actual gap cannot be negated because it is a real, physical constraint.
Every game could look/perform better on PS4. If it doesn't the developer either aimed for parity or game is undemanding enough that both handle it equally well.
The gap will be there the entire gen, mostly XB1 version will be inferior in some way (maybe resolution like this, maybe fps stability, etc, etc). Can people please accept this? Mostly it doesn't detract from the games (sometimes it does which is why comparisons are useful for dual console owners) but fundamentally "it is what it is".
If we're strictly talking about resolution, which is the topic of this thread, it is not unreasonable to hope for/expect more resolution parity in the future as more games manage to hit 1080p on Xbox. Yes, the PS4 will continue to see optimization as well, but it's not like they're going to go beyond the ceiling of native res.Because of the hardware the ceiling of the PS4 is above what the ceiling of Xbox One can ever achieve.

If this announcement came a few weeks ago, this thread would've been a WHOLE lot larger.Who cares? As long as the game is fun...

To use the car analogy, perhaps the speed limit in this instance is 100 and the PS4 met the goal with ease, while the other box needs to be pushed a bit more.
I realize that there is more to IQ than resolution, but that's beside the point ITT.
I tend to think people who post Who cares? Are likely the people who really care.

Remember an infamous tweet?More persecution complex, haha.
Remember an infamous tweet?
I'm not saying that resolution parity won't lead to other shortcomings on Xbox. I'm saying that this is a thread about the resolution and it's not beyond the realm of possibility that we'll see more resolution parity in the future when there are more 1080p games on both consoles. Of course the power gap will always be there, it will just manifest itself in ways besides resolution as we move forward. Not really besides the point you are trying to argue though. If devs want to reach identical resolutions on both consoles there are only two scenarios:
- Parity (gimp the PS4 version)
- Other effects/tech pared back on XB1.
It has nothing to do with your little car analogy, the XB1 won't magically reach resolution parity just by stretching its legs more.
He's just stating that there are gamers that don't care about something as silly as a minor resolution difference between two consoles, especially when PC could shit all over consoles and should be where you want to play if you care about these resolutions.
I could come back and say "Why are you responding? Don't like what he said? Don't post, you're giving him attention.", but that's silly as well. It's a forum where all reasonable discussion should take place. Not caring about something like the resolution is a stance.

Will it affect your enjoyment of Uncharted 4 MP?Who cares? People with eyes.
I just hope the frame rate can handle the constant shit blowing up.

I think that would be a problem if they were aiming for 60fps but 30fps is a low target so it better be locked.
I think it's absolutely possible assuming Avalanche have downgraded the visuals enough. That's some wishful thinking.
Locked 30fps seems to be the reasonable route to take for this game on these consoles. Unless they pull off some kind of miracle.I think that would be a problem if they were aiming for 60fps but 30fps is a low target so it better be locked.
This thread is not about how fun the game is, it's about the resolution differences. I have more fun with a game when the resolution and framerate is better over the other, so this thread is quite informative to me based on the objective data.It will be fun on every system
A nice surprise that the XB1 hits 1080p, that's fine. That surprise is all fair and good as long as the PS4's framerate is much better or graphical effects much better on the PS4. So much better foliage on GTA5, almost double the framerate in Tomb Raider DE.I don't think it should come as a shock when a game is 1080 on PS4 and 900 on X1, it's just a nice surprise when they hit 1080 on both.
This is a resolution thread, that's like coming into a fruits thread and speaking of vegetables. This is not a thread about how fun this game is (how does anyone know the game will be fun if they have not played, suppose there's some controller glitch that deems the game unplayable at release?)........Talking about fun and controller preferences means nothing in a thread like this, it's a just an argument to affirm where you prefer to play, which this thread is not about. He's just stating that there are gamers that don't care about something as silly as a minor resolution difference between two consoles, especially when PC could shit all over consoles and should be where you want to play if you care about these resolutions.

I'm not really convinced TBH. Resolution i believe is one thing f the easiest ways for developers to scale to the different specifications. If a game is 1080p on XB1 then unless it has better fps, shadows or whatever it's about parity. A game that's well optimised for PS4 at 1080p/30fps that's full of effects (and let's face it eye candy is popular this gen) isn't going to be 1080p unless assets take a notable hit. Far easier to jump drop the resolution. If we're strictly talking about resolution, which is the topic of this thread, it is not unreasonable to hope for/expect more resolution parity in the future as more games manage to hit 1080p on Xbox. Do you even know what gimped means?
If you've got a task at work to do and a budget of two hours, but you finish the task in 1.5 so you go start another task, does that mean you gimped the first task?
People will still be surprised for some reason.
It is, only 900p game i got is BF4 on PS4 and its very noticeably soft almost hurt me eye balls900p now is considered bad?
Holly...
Will it affect your enjoyment of Uncharted 4 MP?
Because who cares right?
900p now is considered bad?
Holly...
I expected 1080p/900p 30fps (not locked) on consoles. PC will probably be 1080p/60fps with much less framerate drops as Just Cause 2 had really good scaling on higher hardware.
Anyone who is choosing between which platform to get the title on probably care...Who cares? As long as the game is fun...
Terrible comparison, there is no other version of Uncharted 4 which has the MP in that game running at 1080p... if there was, a lot of people would care. Will it affect your enjoyment of Uncharted 4 MP?
Because who cares right?
Because this is the first time we have had this discussion about this game...Hey look! The same discussion we've had a hundred times already! I don't get why this is post worthy news anymore.

Okay, so because you did the task in 1.5 hours that means it was done sloppily? Lol.
How's this, assume it was done as it should have been done, what then? Is it still gimped?
"Gimping" is the opposite equivalent to "lazy devs" it seems.
