Yeah, everything is arguable.
I can dislike a developer's games and their style but admit that they are great developers.
Like Kojima.
Not a big fan of his games but I know he's a great developer.

I'd still rather Platinum Games handle it. The game would be so over-the-top and bursting with personality. It'd be glorious.

You're right that Platinum would do a better job of ramping up the personality and wackiness of the space animals to off-the-charts levels of insanity.
But from past work, Treasure has made one of the best rail shooters ever (the best?), and I don't believe Platinum has touched the genre. And I think most people at this point want Fox to keep his seatbelt on.

Minami pitched the idea to create a game with Nintendo characters before TW101 was made, so I can see them being interested in doing more stuff with Nintendo IPs

Ohhhhhhhh now you all have done it! For all we know Kamiya could have even been in talks to actually do it but you had to go and ruin a good thing! GREAT JOB! First the great Phil Fish aborts what surely was his magnum opus and now we are deprived of a Platinum-developed Star Fox! someone in another thread had a good argument as to why a starfox game is probably in production by now. it is probably wrapped up regardless, but man this would've been interesting to see.

Exactly, that's why people are so eager to have a Kamiya-directed StarFox game. Those first two games deserve at least one good successor.
