KI is comprised of 90's tropes. A fighting toad fits right in.
God forbid they mess with the gritty realism and deep/dark lore of Killer Instinct.
Download him and play him today before you decide if he fits in or not.

Season 3 is so far away...
KI is pretty consistent in being weird, but taking itself seriously despite that.
Tonally the character is a departure.
My Riptor is in a Cheerleader outfit. Your argument is invalid.
Total destruction.

At EVO they did mention that the PC version was really early in development. Not surprised. Take your time and get it right especially with cross-play.8 months for the pc release?
8 MONTHS!?
8 months for the pc release?
8 MONTHS!?
They gotta be making a new battletoads, right?
So Mick Gordon doing a Battletoads theme then?
Season 3 is so far away...
I get your point, but I don't think that invalidates it. I think there's a difference between core character design, move set, behavior, from an alt costume. It's subtle but there is a difference.
I mean they could add a giant fart monster that attacks with bodily functions, and it would still be tonally different than Riptor with a cheerleader outfit, despite both being absurd from a broader perspective.
I just jumped into KI and Rash wasn't there.
what?
this is GAF.
complain first, change your mind later
So instead of rolling characters out monthly like Season 1 and 2, they're releasing them all at the same time.
I prefer this.
Be glad it's battletoads.
This is a much better and more tonally correct crossover character than the last time we got a bunch of crossover characters in a fighting game.
Unless you're a really really big fan of cole macgrath

Perhaps a sneak peek of some kind? Probably more of an impressions video.
She said Season 3 starts in March. That might mean it'll be month to month like it was in the past.

Why on earth would they start so late?
Why on earth would they start so late?
Why on earth would they start so late?
Because it actually takes a lot longer than a month to make these characters and levels. They need to get a head start so they can commit themselves to the monthly schedule.
Let's go, Rash. Chief Thunder has to ask you a question:
Do you know what happens to a frog when it gets hit by lightning?
The same thing that happens to everything else.
So does a Battletoad character mean a Mick Gordon rendition of battletoads music?!
