I said I wouldn't come back to this thread till launch but I've peeked from time to time like yesterday with the rumours of early European launch (is it confirmed?) and now I just had to quote this again because it deserves to be:

PS: On a more serious note, since some people with big hands seem to have some trouble with Sony controllers, it seems likely that some people with small hands could have trouble with MS's (like with the original Xbox iirc), wouldn't it be in their best interest to make 2 versions of the controllers? Again, iirc, after the remodelled Xbox controller came out the old ones disappeared, right? Perhaps they could have both in the market at the same time. I have no problem with either controller, luckily.

Me too. It seems to awkward. And I have far better control on both 360 and Ds3 by using the tips of my thumbs (the thumbprint) on the grip, not the first joint...

You guys hold the controller weird.

To all who posted pics of their hands claiming they are BIG..they are not big..they look a bit bigger than avg. hand size but not huge like some of my very tall friends have. And they don't seem to have any problem playing with a DS3.

Just went from a maybe pre-order (definitely picking up the game day one) to definitely pre-ordering. I don't care if I hate the concept of pre-orders and giving Gamestop my money, they can haz it!!!!1111

Well in Dot50Cal's pics, he uses his thumb tips on the 360 controller, but his... knucklepits on the DS3.. I CALL SHENANEGINS

Me either, I have hands larger than all the pictures/gifs I've seen posted thus far. Think it comes down to how you hold it and how long you've been using it. I've been using a Playstation controller since the PS1 so I'm used to it. The 360 one bothers me because I'm not used to it, doesn't mean I couldn't get used to it.

Obviously it depends how you personally hold them, but the main difference is that the grips of the PS pad are designed to be supported by the fleshy pads you have where your fingers join the palm, whereas the grips on a 360 pad actually nestle into the palm itself.

If you hold the PS controller like this you should have relatively little difficulty positioning your thumbs directly on the sticks, even if you have quite big hands, but if you have the grips of the PS controller nestling in the middles of your palms then you will have problems with the sticks.

seriously, you guys are complaining about the Sonys controller? Its no doubt the best controller imo. Its funny how you use the ps controller as a wheel in the gif and the 360 controller as a controller, come on man.
